Just got off the phone with them.  Its a simple political survey - five minutes tops if you don't talk their ear off!  IM sure its a random digit dial.  If they knew your name, its likely you did a survey with them before and they have that information on file as they ask for your name at the end if the survey.  Do those poor people on the other end of the line A favor and answer the questions. Not only is our opinion important, those callers also get paid by the survey completed.  If you are concerned about the economy, putting $$$ in the pockets of otherwise minimum wage workers is one way to help our nation out! The more people make, the more they spend and pay in taxes, all generating a jumpstart to the economy.

This was a follow-up survey to a FedEx Kinkos order I placed this week.

I have seen people suggest going to this company's website and ask them to be taken off the call is, well I sure wouldn't do that because that will just let them know that they have a valid phone number for you plus now they have your email and will no doubt start spamming that as well.

They call my cell so I just create a contact named junk and put that number in it.  I then set it to no ring, ta da

Got this call tonight 11/7/12 at 5:18pm, & caller ID said "Ogden, UT 801-823-2033." Crazy thing is the presidential election was YESTERDAY! It's over! And I'm still getting political calls? WTH? Worse, it was an older lady. I really hate it when they sit there on the answering machine going "hello, hello, hello..." You have reached my answering machine idiot! She hung up, no message other than "hello, hello, hello."

I too, am on the Do Not Call list & yes, I know some types are exempt (donations, surveys) & that's half the frigging annoyance. They need to be bound by it as well. But for the record, reporting someone who violates the DNC list apparently does no good. I report, report and report, and they still keep coming back. Maybe it affects the smaller mom & pop shops, but the biggest offenders (AT&T for example) aren't affected at all. I gave up reporting them because it does no good. They never contact me for more information, they keep coming back.

NEVER take surveys! This is how scum bucket Companies get around the do not call list. As soon as you answer one question, you agree to take crap from any Company they represent. And there could be 1000's they report to !

The call that I received today was from Associated Bank, with a survey about my experience. They were nice and professional. It's probably just a third-party survey company.

Or a Turd Service survey. Turd Service workers dip their heads in fecal matter 24 hours a day even in their dreams.

I got a call from this number about 2 hours ago.  I did not answer.  Just got another call from them, and this time I did answer.  They said it was a public opinion poll.  I said that I was not interested in answering a survey over the phone and asked to have my phone number removed from their list.  They said that would not be a problem.

Do not answer this number, it is a scammer - NOT a political survey.

They knew my name, and also where I banked.

They claimed to be from my bank, which is a local in-town bank who would not be calling from a Utah area code. They wanted me to do a survey which started out with my birth date. I told him that if he were really my bank, he would have this basic information, and then I told him that I would call the bank during regular office hours and participate the survey then if they really wanted me to. He started to sound nervous (he sounded like a young man) and then asked if he would be able to call back for me to finish the survey another time. I told him that would be unnecessary, as I will contact my bank about it shortly.

Everybody that thinks the "Do Not Call List" gives a rip about who calls whom, raise your hand.  Ahhhhhhh, don't see any hands - yet more government waste.  I bought a "call blocker" device and I have every number that begins with 801 from getting through to my telephone!

They've called at least 4 times on 4 separate days about a survey about telephone services.  And stated how it can be oh-so-helpful to me to do this survey.  I don't know if they are legit, don't care if they are legit and am annoyed by the sheer volume of telemarketed calls from many sources we receive over the winter months and can do nothing about since we are a business.  And I don't trust their "opt-outs" considering how many calls we get are scams.

After saying nicely no thank you, not here, no time, not interested etc to their attempts, I finally gave up and got one irked enough to call me back 3 times ina row.  I have nothing against legitimate calls but if you refuse to take no as a valid answer then realize I'm going to start "hurting" your feelings. My husband prefers baiting them instead like the private investigation firm he told that he was paranoid we were out to get him, poisoning him, listening in on his conversations and basically sounded like a complete crazy person. They haven't EVER called back :)

Called my cell phone, didn't answer it. Looks like election season is starting early. Joy.

Seeing as how it is going to be 3 more years until another presidential election I do not believe it is a political survey, do y'all? I just checked my voice mails on Google Voice and saw this number had called and left a message at 8:34 pm several days prior. It showed the call originated from Ogden, UT, if it actually did or not I don't know. The message was a man with a strong British accent and all that he said after a brief pause was "hello.... (pause) been trying ya." I could hear a moment of background noise sounding like muddled talk of several people before the background noise abruptly stopped. Since it sounded like he said "...been trying ya," I searched my voice mail page to see if I have previously received a call from this number (I am never in a rush to check 800 or out of state numbers,)  After checking I saw that I had received one two days prior, on a Saturday at 1:36 pm, yet did not leave a message. I kinda feel like he wouldn't have this time, that he was unsure if someone had answered and felt the need to say something else after saying hello. I get the feeling since there are enough of us searching to see who this number belongs to, have a forum on it, and no on really knowing who it is that they don't need to be given any information. With people being able to get just about any information (or at least enough to do damage) with just your name and the last 4 digits of your social security number you can't be to cautious!

That is strange!!! AND SCARY!!! Again another reason not to answer any of their questions!!!
