- Jim replies to Jim in OhioMore information on this bunch of bloodsuckers - their website URL is

Now you can start burning up THEIR phone lines and servers with bunches of daily calls and emails !!! - BS Stephen Fredrickson !!! replies to Steven FredricksonWhat a load of c**p Steven Fredrickson !!
Your robo-dialers called even on News Year's Day, not to mention MULTIPLE times a day from very early to very late - AND MOST OF US ARE NOT DEADBEATS OUT HERE - we are stuggling with long term unemployment - MANY OF US 60 AND OLDER that had good jobs, were responsible with out debt servicing - but got laid off and can't find anyone that will even look at us in this economy.
So DON'T presume to hold high-court on us!!
Now - for those that need TRUE information about:
FIRST - everyone receiving calls from this bunch of blood suckers should know it is _not_ Discover Card, it is a collection agency named Portfolio Recovery Assoc out of Norfolk, VA (with 'spoof' location in Kearns Utah). While they have obviously been put up to this by Discover Card, and represent themselves _as_ 'Discover Card', they are NOT Discover Card (or any other lender/company they claim to represent). Equal complaints should be made against both this organization AND to any company they claim to represent (such as Discover Card) for turning you over to this sort of abusive organization and providing them with your phone numbers given when you set up the account.
Secondly – the Kearnes, UT people are using several numbers (such as 801-902-2429; 801-902-2976) both of which geo-locate to LAT 40.67 LONG -112.01 so pull those coordinates up Google Earth and it looks like someone in a residential neighborhood is running these calls out of their home with a Robo-Dialer. The Norfolk, VA coordinates for the home office are Latitude 36.841488°, N 36 ° 50' 29.4" 36 ° 50.4893', Longitude -76.213085 °, W 76 ° 12' 47.1" -76 ° 12.7851'
Now you know where to drop that 'blue-water ice' when you fly over at 30,000 ft ;)

Washington, DC 20530 - Mary Lynn MikschDO not call me....
- Jimmy Johnson replies to Maria| 1 replyThis number is Discover card, it is their collections department, but it is DISCOVER.. They called me 3 times this morning. SO I called the number back. They asked for my cell phone number that was being called, it came up as some dude I never heard of. I gave it to them and asked them to remove it from their records. I was told they would...
- My2KidsMom replies to Jimmy JohnsonYes I had this same # come up on my Cell Caller ID 10 times and they waste my minutes while I wait for an important message before letting you hang there for 10 minutes and then disconnect the call........... only to call you back again ~
Well, JAN was going to need some info from me to TAKE CARE of this : my name, phone # (cell and home) and my address ~ I told her the cell and told her I didn't find the relevance in the rest of her "needed" info and then she told me to put my # on the DO NOT CALL LIST, which I have already done ~ - lametPORTFOLIO FILES FRAUDULENT 1099-C FORMS Forgiveness of debt forms with the IRS when they cannot collect a debt they KNOW is not valid and they only paid PENNIES for. These fraudulent forms are for MORE then they ACTUALLY PAID for the debt. So they are falsifying TAX Documents - their own as well as those of consumers they were not successfull in stealing money from.
THE PRESS IS DOING AN INVESTIGATION AND WANTS TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WILLING TO GO ON RECORD about 1099-c forms that were the result of Portofolio's illegal colleciton attempts.
We have a reporter for a national news outlet desiring to do the 1099C story.
Specifically, they would like to talk to consumers who have been contacted by a debt collector who has inappropriately used these 1099-C forms? Your willingness to talk "on the record" will go a long way to help expose the errors of these bogus claims.
We believe Portfolio Recovery Associates in Virginia to be one of the biggest abusers of the 1099C, we suspect they will play a large part in the story. If PRA has issued you a 1099C on an old (or even current debt) we'd like to pass your contact information to the reporter.
Email us at admin@collectorsexposed.com and place 1099 C Report in the subject line. Let us know if you would be willing to go on record with your story. If not, we want to hear your story anyway.
They are also asking for anyone who has sued to push back on a collector for using
this 1099-C inappropriately?
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS BOGUS 1099-C FORM - please contact them - HOPEFULLY with the press investigation - IRS will FINALLY GO AFTER THEM for their tax FRAUD.. - AlfalfaThanks, Lamet. Here is the link to the above article:
http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum2/index.php?topic=675.msg3413#msg3413 - danThey identify themselves as Card Services, this is the collection department of Discover Card.
- Caller: Discover Card Services
- terryOver the past two weeks, I have received repeated calls from these two different phone numbers:
800-676-4060 (claiming to be "card member" services, generic)
and
801-902-2429 (claiming to be Discover Card services)
In both cases, the caller asks for a Michael Krepner, and says it is about his card account. I have no idea who Michael Krepner is, and I have had this same phone number for 20 years. I have never had a Discover Card. I have no balance on any of my other credit cards.
The fact that two different parties, from two different phone numbers, are asking for the same guy Michael Krepner tells me these two numbers must represent the same company. Fraudulent or a real collection agency? Does anyone have experience with calls from both these companies?- Caller: "Card member services"
- Call type: Debt collector
- RebeccaThis is can't be Discover. That card is in my husband's name, the payment is paid monthly, as is supposed to happen and he does it through the secured site of Discover. They would have ABSOLUTELY NO reason to cal MY cell phone. This is the 2nd phone call from this number this morning. You can bet that if they call again today, I WIll answer it to see what is going on.

- JanetI received three calls from this morning.. my friend says it's probably a telemarketer just trying to sign up for it.
- deanie replies to nobodyspecialIt's Discover (one of the hundred or so numbers they have).
- Glen Gwhat was cool for me was they kept calling me over and over looking for someone else so I turned the page and started to call them over and over and over again looking to collect a dept for usage of my cell phone minutes....lol they didnt have a freaking clue as to what to say and or who I could send the bill too....in fact they started to get pissed off at me calling over and over again.....it was to funny, this is no lie it got to the point that they put a block on my phone number after a few hundred call's so I just changed numbers and said I wouldnt go away until I got paid for the cell phone minutes.....then I finally got bored and stoped calling but never received another call again......

- MandiThis is Discover Card that is calling 6 to 8 times a day, everyday. This includes Holidays and weekends.
Other numbers they use are 888-728-3133, 80-902-2429, 801-902-3152, 614-283-1943, 614-283-1952, 888-728-3135. If they would stop calling they would save a lot of money. It doesn't bother me so I don't know why they keep calling. I have two other numbers and they call them 6 to 8 times a day also.- Caller: Discover Card
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sick and TiredThis is Discover Card. They call 2 to 8 times a day. They also use different phone numbers. They call friends, family, neighbors and work numbers to harrass you. If you don't have the money you don't have the money. Can't help it at the point. When things are going go they keep raising your limit. You get behind and they harrass the hell out of you. One day last on a payment and they start calling and emailing you and everyone they think you might know.
They use 888-728-3133 as another number.- Call type: Debt collector
- Already AnnoyedThey started calling me on my cell phone a few days ago. I don't have any credit cards, much less a Discover card. Nor do I WANT one! They've mostly called in the afternoon, but just called at 8 a.m. on a day when everyone in my house was still asleep. Thanks jerks! Not looking forward to hearing these calls several times a day for the forseeable future.
- PoMonkeyThese F-ers at Discover are calling me 24/7, but little do they know they are just calling my
Google Voice account and going into a black hole.. God I love technology. They can call all
day long, they'll never harass me. At the same time, I just crank call them all day long. lol
Discover can eat my s|-|it....
