This is a fraud. Most likely a bill collector trying to scare you by saying you'll be arrested for fraud.

8024485953  left a message on my answering machine today.
I did not reply,  they also left an account number and a number to call back on.

Since I do not have any outstanding debits I know it is a scam.

The really crossed the line on this one. The implication is to make people think criminal charges will be filed against them.  I hope they get nailed in court for this crap.

They didn't ID themselves.
They didn't ID themselves as a bill collector.
They left a message without ascertaining the named person would receive it.
And, they mislead people into thinking criminal charges are going to be filed.
They also mislead people by stating their rights will be forfeited.

Received 2 robo calls now on my answering machine stating that I was being charged with 2 counts of fraudulent activity involving my social security number and my name.  Also said I will be served two summons through my county.  Left me a claim number and their phone number.  Once I'm served, my rights are forfeited.  And I need to speak to someone in their legal department.

These lowlife scumbags need to be eliminated.  IF the govt wanted to investigate these criminals they could easily force whatever company is providing these slimeballs' with the spoofing service the actual ID and bust up the racket.  Why doesn't the FBI get involved in this?  It MUST stop, NOW!!!!!  One of these F^(Kers just called for my nephew and they also called from the Georgia number mentioned above a few days ago.  Time to start cleaning house!!!!!!!  Terminate with extreme prejudice!!!!!!!  

Just got another msg from the same scum

This number called to harass me. When I asked the guy "What do you people want" I was called a racist and bigot and hung up on. When I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor (I was angry at being called a racist even though I knew this was a scam phone call) the same guy who called me a racist told me "Absolutely not" that he would not let "a sarcastic racist" speak to his supervisor. I told him if he had a legitimate court claim to go ahead and file it with the court and I would just deal with them.

This number is a VOIP number issued by Bandwidth.com to a collection agency.  

They claim they are from the courts which they are not.  They claim you have committed a criminal act and are filing charges which is Extortion as defined Title 18 Sections 875 and 876.   Currently the FBI is investigating this company.

I would suspect that their will be an indictment as the feds are listing to their phone calls.

If you have been scammed or owe money and received a phone call from 802 448-5953.   Please let me know.  FIrst their is a Federal criminal Investigation in progress.   Second, I am filing a civil action in the United States District Court.and I am looking for additional wrong doings.

Had a call from 802-448-5953 yesterday and the message that was left started out as an automated message & then it changed to a female's voice.  The message said I needed to call to talk w/ the processing and summons department since there was fraudulent activity associated with my name and social security number. Two charges would be filed against me in my county and I needed to call 802-448-5953 b/f the summons was delivered to me at my work or at home.  I was also given a case number and told that If I did not return the call then b/f I was served with the summons,  my legal rights would be forfeited. At the end of the message I was told if I did not call back before getting served my summons, then
I would need to call and speak with the legal department. Never was a company name mentioned and while listening to the message I knew something just did not seem or sound right with this message.  No company name was given, the losing of my legal rights if I did not call back b/f I was delivered a summons at my work or at home and the switching between an automated voice then a live voice were all signs to me that something is not right with this message. Once I googled this number, I quickly found lots of messages from others just like the one that I received.  I could not find any site to even hint at anything but a scam.  I can only imagine the number of people that call back this number in fear of getting a summons then losing there legal rights as the message states and then most likely they then give $$$.  

Glad to hear that someone is filing a civil action against these scamers!!

Make these people pay the price for all of their illegal activities, I hope they get shut down!

Same scenario as the rest of you. Pissed me off so I called them a dozen times back each tone I put the phone next to a speaker and blasted music. They haven't called me back. Shocker

Got a robocall with a male voice saying he was hired to serve me at home or at work blah blah blah.  They aren't going to serve me jack,

He said serve me in connection with the civil complaint that has been filed against me. There is no civil complaint filed against me nor do they intend to ever file one.  So, I don't know how they can get away with lying so blatantly.

called them back to tell them  to take my number off the list and the guy on the other end called me names and said there is no way he is taking my name off the list.  Total Scammers

Just got a message on cell and a call at my office.  Charges are being filed against me in my county but someone from Vermont is calling me. No one calls you and tells you they are serving you with papers they just come. This is a constant occurence for me and it is getting old.  When is the government going to do something about these companies?
