Received a missed call from this number 13 minutes ago.  No message left.. Has anyone else received any calls from this number and/or have any idea who this is?  I just wish these folks would have the courtesy of at least leaving a message

Its a bill collector for student loans.  They keep calling my work even after they were told I could not receive personal phone calls.

William and Fudge. They have a few numbers they call from. They interrupt me at work several times a week. This is in regards to student loans, even though I already worked out a payment plan with them weeks ago.

Got a call just now from them. Her name was Caroline, seems consistent with other posts on here that they're from Williams and Fudge collectors. Even my school says its suspicious that i got a call from them.  watch out for them somethings not quite right in my eyes here...

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Caroline called my brother asking for my number. I called back and this lady answers the phone saying, “Hi, this is Caroline Smith”. She does not identify company she works for and goes straight to asking for how I’m going to pay my student debt. She doesn’t even try to confirm my identity. What a scam! Try again lady.
