I also received a message from this number which is the number that accesses the voice mail service for my cell carrier, which is not t-mobile. My voice mail service switched access numbers when I traded from a Motorola phone to an LG. Might this have some bearing on the issue?

Got the call also. Left a voicemail asking for alaisha, whom I'm not! Asking do I want to still apply for the job at an explicit place...too funny, but anyway, there is an app for those of you who have the android market, called mobile manager by nq, where you can block these types of calls. Works great and you can set it up however you like to block certain calls or all calls. Hopes this help with the annoying calls!

I get this call on my cell phone. If I answer nobody says anything or if someone does, I can't understand what they are saying. I also get it on my voice mail but no message is left there to listen to.

It is my belief that T-Mobile is doing this to scam us > (T-Mobile users) into (Pardon the pun) ringing up more charges on our phone bill, as I think just checking the voice mail is an extra charge, unless you check it from your land line. But the call you make to the number may be with in your allotted minutes with in your service package;
Warning T-Mobile: We're on to you!

P.S. The noise you hear in the background of running water, kids playing, people talking etc., or whatever, are (maybe?) employees or subcontractors hired by T-Mobile to make calls to T-Mobile customers to get you to use your minutes. and check your voice mail to ring up more charges on your phone bill.  But I also agree with the below poster that it could be the robo scam, or possibly auto dialers ............  
Regardless, if you don't recognize the number don't even answer it, 'cause that's what _They want _you to do.......

Here's one trick that also worked for me when I was getting harassing numbers frequently a few months back :  The last time I  answered, and you should answer this way too, if you choose to do so:

In a loud firm confidant voice say:  (your town , city or borough name here, followed by)  Police Department , Officer Braunowski speaking, how can I help you?    
From the other end you will hear nothing but a 'click' !  and chances are you'll never get a call from that number again. It worked for me, and chances are it will for you too !
Stay safe out there, hang up and drive !

yes, yes, I cked the t/m v-mail#.. plus the voice mail stoped coming on mar. 16, has always been bhind and sporatic w/ mess & tex & pic? ? I think they are being diverted! the  thing now just makes noise & say new v/m, but o - nuthin'! we have  2 phones, I know the mesages don't go through,  cause I call  my wife-- and she say no mesage!..thanx 4 the spout spot ;)

Add my complaint to the long list.  T-Mobile has a problem.  I pay a premium to prevent Txt messaging and yet T-Mobile fails to block these messages, i.e. they violate the contract!  Don't know if other cell providers are any better but am at the point of dumping T-Mobile as their "word" is no good.

They called me at lunch time.

I received a call from this number at 8:30 tonight.  I didn't notice I had a call until about 9 pm and there was a voice mail message which a male with an hispanic accent said my name and said his name was Juan Gonzales from what sounded like "Chicago Bank".  He said for me to call back and gave me this number (which also showed up on my cell phone call log).  I don't know that bank and didn't call back.  Instead, I looked up the number online and found all these posts. I too have T-mobile but other than that my story doesn't sound like any of the other posts - especially since the caller knew my name.

my 12 yr old daughter phone kept gettin calls from this #-she is NOT t mobil. I use straight talk w her so she has a phone . when I finally answered it a man w poor english wanted to speak w someone named Sherry about financail information...?... I told him this was my daughters phone and he said this number had just recently requested info on financial aid which I told him was impossible because she has had the phone for over 6mnths. He apologised & hung-up....?....

Annoying calls at anytime of day/night, who are these people and what do they want?

Would like these people to find better use of their time and remove me from their call list ASAP
