I received at least one call from this number daily.
When I initially answered the call, no one spoke.
I never answer now.

Please, go back and read, "LLM, 10May2013…leave your number if you want to be taken off their call list. What a scam!! That's a sure way to know that your number is a working number…"  Don't answer, don't press one, don't call them back.  Besides continuing to call you, they will also sell your number, thus increasing your unwanted calls.

That, and if you get more than one call from a "scammer", file a complaint at the DNC web site.  And, please, don't blame the DNC list.  Fed regs make it impossible for them to do the job "completely, flawlessly"…unless they get enough complaints.  They stopped "Heather at card member services" for quite a while.  But there are almost unlimited numbers for scammers to pick up and start all over again.

I also like the idea by a couple people here:  answer "Guido's Pizzeria.  May I take your order?"  or, "Johnson Funeral Home", etc.  Most of them will probably remove you.

It is simple to remove your number from Telefund’s List. Email your number to info@telefund.com and request not to be called.

Telefund works on behalf of charities and political groups and exempt from the National Do Not Call List, BUT they keep their own internal list. The call center uses and auto dialer, ignoring the call will only put your number back into the system. The only way to remove your number is to email info@telefund.com, call them back, or pick up the phone when they call.

I get calls from this number at least 5 times a day on my cell phone.

I have tried calling them back, today was the first time I actually got a message.  I tried to remove my name from the call list & their mailbox was full

Same as everyone else. 1 or 2 calls a day to my cell number. Not sure where they got my cell number from.

Multiple calls every day and night!  We want to be left alone!  BTW, while other people mentioned getting calls to their mobile phones, ours are coming to our landline. 97 out of 100 calls we get are "solicitors".  Makes me want to dump my landline but I have a very large house and wouldn't be able to hear my cell phone from most areas in it... let alone get to it in time.

Have been calling at least once a day for months.  Very irritating.

Caller initially asked for someone I didn't know. Then I asked who was calling. I was told it was the ASPCA. Since I wasn't the person he was looking for we mutually ended tbe call.

What an arrogant person you are. Natash's post is legitimate. He's trying to help. I just called the number and registered. In the future, before you make accusations, make sure you know what you're talking about.

Organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, Susan Komen Race for the Cure, My Darling Theo Foundation, Nothing But Nets and other Recognized Public Charities are often the targets of scammers who piggy back on the charities good reputation to scam funds  ( which the charities never see ) from unsuspecting donors. GIVE to these organizations directly and not to scammers. BTW the SPLC is a great charity doing the dirty work of  fighting hatred which runs deep in this great country.

I worked for Telefund for exactly one day. They are *extremely* pushy (which is why I didn't continue working for them; I'm not capable of being as rude as they want you to be... how that encourages donations, I'm not sure) and WILL continue to call you, unless you answer and specifically tell them to put you on their 'do not call' list. It should take you off their list (which is almost entirely computerized). As well, they should being identifying themselves as Telefund calling on behalf of [insert whatever charity here], which may lead to some confusion as to who is calling if they're speaking too quickly or you just can't understand what they're saying (speaking as fast as you can is something you're instructed to do). So, while it might be a pain, just answer and tell them to DNC you, it *should* make the calls stop.

These people called twice. I don't recognize the number. They don't leave messages

I've been a member of Amnesty International and SPLC for over 20 years, and I've never heard of them soliciting for donations over the phone. If they have told you that they are from AI or SPLC, they are most certainly scammers.

I keep getting calls from this number but the person hangs up as soon as i answer.

I don't pick up on numbers that I don't recognize, so I didn't pick up on this one. I will say, though, that I have been getting more than a few strange calls since having my information breached by Target.
