After a lot of effort, I managed to obtain Mr. Cowart's phone number and called him to complain. I told him every time his telemarketers called me, I would call him. He apologized, took my name and phone number, and promised not to call me again. Six days later his telemarketers violated that promise. I immediately called him to complain once again.

If you are being pestered by this dubious scofflaw, I suggest you call and complain to him personally. His personal cell phone number is 954-980-1394.

Received a call from number, sent it to VM, it's an overly perky girl named Kim "returning" a call from last week to try and lower credit card payment down and it's the, "last time I can make this courtesy call so call me back, like, super fast kay!?"

I never talked to anyone about lowering my card payment.

Scam.

Man, have I got a solution for all the nuisance calls!!!  We were getting 2-4 calls A DAY from a number in Flint, MI as well as the Lupus Foundation and others.  Consumer Reports reported on cordless phones in their October issue and stated that two of the higher rated ones (the Panasonic I ordered was one but I can't remember the other model) had the capability to block calls from unwanted numbers.  

I immediately ordered a Panasonic KX-TG6512 telephone with one additional handset for about $40.  It does NOT have an answerer but they have a similar model that does.   Noticed that the current price is closer to $41-$50.  It was a snap to program (for example, when you set the time on the 'master' phone, it automatically sets the 'servant' phone) and I have blocked calls from those nuisance callers.  What happens is your phone will ring one time and the caller will get a busy signal.  No more calls from ANYone you don't want to get a call from!!!!
