Started to receive calls. They occur a few times a day. Dead air every time I answer. If I call back, the "call cannot be completed as dialed" plays.

Multiple calls everyday, no person, no robot, nothing...If I didn't strive for inner peace, i would do some damage to this company.

For the past 3 days this number calls my residence at least every two hours...I have kept a log.  Today it has started being every hour.  They do not leave a message on our answering machine; if you answer, there is dead silence, no recording, no robot, no sound whatsoever.  You cannot call it back...we are sick of it!  They call when we are sleeping and we have not gotten any rest!  I have researched the number and there are several places listed with this number...RAC in Tampa for example.

What did you do?  Are they still calling you?  If not, how long did you get the calls?  We are going nuts!  They call every two hours!  Your advice is welcome!

We are having the same problem...what did you do?  Are you still receiving the calls?  If they have stopped, how long did you receive them and what did you do to stop them?  They are driving us crazy calling every two hours.  We welcome any advice you can pass on to us.

Hey, I don't know if this'll work-- haven't tried it yet, myself-- but I just read somewhere (researching this same annoying phone number) that if you turn off your answering machine and let the phone ring for a while, you can answer it and get a real person. When that happens, you can listen to the message, say whatever you want, etc.  (Maybe that'll get the to finally *stop*!)  It sounds like this number may be associated with some sort of political messages/polling.  Makes sense for my problem, at least, as we do have some elections coming up.  But good grief!  There's no better way to get on my bad side than *this* nonsense!

Does anybody know how long this lasts?  We've had it going on for 4 days now, constant calling and nobody is there.  We tried to just let the answering machine take a message but they leave no message and keep calling. We now have turned our phone off completely and have everybody calling us on our cell phones until whoever is calling stops.

No details they just keep calling.

Don't know who or what this number is but caller needs to stop calling!

I got a call from Charlie Crist with this caller ID, a couple of days after I applied for an absentee ballot.  The recording mentioned "...when you vote absentee..." and was a plug for the property tax amendment.

For several days this has been going on. Hourly calls and dead air.  We are elderly and this is a nuisence to us, disturbing our peace and causeing us to take extra (painful) steps. I suppose it has to do with the elections and reflects the lack of quality found in today's candidates.

Have received numerous calls from this 813-000-0000 and have answered it a couple of times. Can tell someone is there but they say nothing. The call is not made by a computerized device or my Tele-Zapper would have removed my number from their list the first time they called. Now when they call I just lift receiver and put it right back down.

This was a Florida Gov.Charlie Crist recorded pitch talking about the "yes on 1" campaign.

I used to live in Florida, but moved to a new state several months ago.  I've been getting these calls from 813-000-0000 here in my new location.  Whenever I pick up there is silence.  It is very annoying.

Just got one. Turned on answering machine, they hung up when machine kicked on.

Just got a call at 1334 hrs. today, 4/8/08.  I have a screening device, and my number is on do-not-call lists.  This was not a machine.  They went through a series of clicks, and I waited until the end, saying, "Hello?" repeatedly.  I'm in California, so this should have nothing to do with Florida politics.  

That said, I just ran back over my records, and noted a call that used a local California area code (909) and the 000-0000 designation, and I believe that was Sears calling to offer some warranty on a purchased product.  But they talked on the phone and it was a live person - no one talked here.  Does that help anyone?
