- . replies to kevin"Special investigator" BS.
They are idiot scammers.
A "restraining order" would say you COULDN'T contact them. - missy| 1 replyI was listening to my messages on my michine. It was a Susan Jones telling me i had a restraining order against me.Think god i did a reverve number check, because hearing that sure does get your attention. You have to be served for a restraining order.Im surely not calling them back. These people are f#####g IDIOTS!!!!!!!

- David| 1 replyI just received the same message. It was very upsetting to say the least. I got a call from someone named Rose Banya who claimed to be a special investigator. And like people stated above, she spoke so quickly with so much legal jargon that i had to play the message 10 times just to get the gist of what she was saying...something about a complaint being filed against me, that I had been named in legal action that I needed to appear in court, something about a restraining order being filed against me and something about forwarding this information to my attorney. And then she threatened me and wished me Good Luck at the end.the phone number i am supposed to call is 813-863-1962. and the complaint number or case number resembles the one listed above. I am definitely referring this to State Attorney General's office here in Florida and the Federal Trade Commission. AND I am calling my attorney. This is the lowest form of extortion! I think this is supposed to be some kind of debt collection tactic.

- . replies to missyAnd if you had a "restraining order", it would order you NOT to contact them.
They are idiot scammers. - Elaine| 3 repliesJust got a call from these people today. I refuse to call the number, because it sounded fishy. I googled it instead and found you guys, and checked out the FBI information page. ITS A SCAM. Ignore it. A restraining order cannot be filed without written notification from the courts, at least in California. They're real good about that stuff. I was SO pissed, because I've never been in trouble or threatened or even done anything remotely threatening. Hell, I work with kids. I'd never threaten someone with bodily harm. EVER. It's against my ethical beliefs. Not to mention my moral code. This is SO wrong. I don't know how I got on their list, but I'm going to find out, and write them a letter, and complain.
- Lainey replies to Elaine| 1 replyOh, and PS: for a restraining order, you have a HEARING, not a supoena to appear in court. Idiots got their legal terminology wrong.
- . replies to LaineyThey are fakes, and so are their "process servers", their "summonses" and their "debts".
- . replies to ElaineContact FTC, your state Attorney General, the California Attorney General, the Corona Police Department, and the Riveside office of the FBI.
- . replies to David"something about forwarding this information to my attorney. And then she threatened me and wished me Good Luck "
They are borrowing their scripts from the Indian fake "payday loan" scammers. Pretty "unprofessional", even for a con artist. - mike armstrong| 1 replyThese people called my wife's ex-husband from 23 yrs. ago (great current info on their part), and tried to pull the same crap, but I gave it back to her. That "lady" hung up on me 4 times, I wonder how she liked being harassed, and I didn't use bad language. She couldn't find her supervisor, and I told her I was sending a copy of the recorded call to the Florida AG's office. The are the lowest of the bunch with their tactics.
- . replies to mike armstrong"These people called my wife's ex-husband from 23 yrs. ago (great current info on their part)"
They are deliberately NOT using current information.
Most consumer complaints are reporting that they first try to call a relative, not the target victim directly, as part of pretending to be a "process server attempting to serve a summons", to maintain the pretense of a non-existent "lawsuit".
The whole act is to create the impression of some "impending lawsuit" as an implied threat, to coerce immediate payment of a "settlement" without any proof of the "debt".
It's a con. - Joyce Williams| 1 replyI received a call from this United Process Service Corp., telling me I was being sued by a company I have never heard of call Southside Auto Finance for a car I did have but was being financed by a totally different company. I checked the internet and it seems that either it is a tow yard or a auto auction site. I got my car from a known Car dealer. I don't go to off the wall dealers

- . replies to Joyce WilliamsYour complaint matches the continuing pattern of allegations of fake "debts" and "lawsuits", with the "debt" crafted from information visible in your credit report.
Check your 3 credit reports and see if they pulled one recently. You might find their inquiry on a report that also shows the financing for your auto loan.
Making up some "plaintiff" different from your actual lender would fit the storyline that "the debt has been sold off", or maybe that this was some "repo" with a balance due on the loan after auction. If they make it sound half-way plausible, they don't have to be right all the time, but when they are, they have a chance to win. Other complaints are reporting that they concoct storylines to explain the "unavailability" of information on the "debt", like "the attorney has it", or "it was already sent to the judge", etc.
They are playing "poker", and bluffing, so they try to make the stakes appear high. They want you to decide the "risk" is too great, so you just pay them off without ever seeing their "cards".
DMV records would show any actual title changes, including sale by the alleged "auction house". Why don't you call and check, as this also would appear on the surface to be a case of title fraud. - harrassed| 2 repliesa "sara" called with an affadavit # saying we had 48 hrs beforea restraining order would be filed. No one by the named they claimed to be looking for lives at this address. Total scam.
- Call type: Debt collector
- . replies to harrassedContact the Riverside office of the FBI.
- . replies to harrassedThey hire a bunch of idiots off the street to play "process server".
Their first call, pretending to be a "process server" is usually to someone they think is a relative. Looks like they made a skip-trace mistake.
The "affidavit number" and "restraining order" is a bunch of BS to try to sound like they are trying to serve a summons on a lawsuit, but they got the language wrong. - Gene T. Beeseclaim to e investigative officers trying to serve a restrainiing order. and would have to go to court...bullsh**!
- RobertJust recieved call from this number and a message as well. I called the police because if anyone has anything legal against you the police will know. They said: SCAM SCAM SCAM.
- Evelyn| 1 replyThey have called my mother in law 3 times now with these false allegations. I am so fed up with these guys. The first time we called them back and told them we did not owe any debt. We gave our address so we could receive the "documents" nothing ever happened. How can people like this stay in business with all these phony debts.
