I have been called by this number at least a dozen times over the past 8 months.  I call to say they have the wrong number and several times they hang up on me before I even get the words out.  One time, the person said quickly, “please disregard the message” and immediately hung up.  I’m guessing they hang up quickly in order to not be traced or something, but this is Definitely A SCAM! BEWARE!!!

    Not falling for it
Left message to call this number to be added to the student loan forgiveness program but caller ID showed 732-413-3323 as source of phone call. This prompted me to warn others.

    Annoyed
Called at noon, and in a pre-recorded message, identifies herself, as agent of federal student loan forgiveness program. She went on to say that wage garnishment would commence, unless contact was made.  Unfortunately, the idiot NEVER stated WHO she was calling. So unprofessional and random...SCAM, SCAM, PHISHING SCAM!

Same as the rest of them.  Claiming I have a student loan.  Well the funny thing was they called from a different number in Chicago 773-692-8784. Then wants me to call back a number in Texas this on 817-345-0891? Red flag because why are you calling me in Chicago and you want me to call back to Texas lol.

“Hi this is Amanda from the federal student loan assistance center I'm calling because you have approximately 90 days before ________ pick back up that includes wage garnishment and tax ______ um give us a call so we can go ahead and get you set up into the federal student loan forgiveness program through the Department of education it is income-based and we can definitely get you enrolled in that as soon as possible the phone number here is 817-345-0891 thank you…”

I do have a Student Loan and contacted MOHELA who has my loan. They said there is nothing in place as was told to me when I called “Amanda” and got “Paul”. He said I needed to pay $233 mo for 6 months, then it would drop to $12 mo for 6 mo. After that, the loan will be considered paid in full. It’s a scam!

I received a voice message from a 702 area code stating the same and to call the Tx area code # regarding my student loan.  I called both #'s and asked to  have my #  removed since I  do not have a loan nor have I cosigned for a loan,   or I will  report them to the FTC, both #'s hung up on me.  So, I  called the FTC and have a file open and added the 2 #'s and gave additional info to them and then blocked these scammers #'s, which I suggest you all do!!
