- Rick replies to KarenHi Karen & Gary, I just got a call from the same number. My phone said it was suspected to be spam, so I didn't answer. Whoever it was didn't leave a message, so it must be REALLY important, lol. Anyways it's coming from somewhere in Southern California, and you guys are spot on about it being a scammer. Karen, my number is registered on the 'Don't Call List'. Did Trump try and do away with that?? Is that what you meant?
- Rick replies to Gary| 6 repliesI just got the same thing...
I replied to Karen below. Are you registered on the Do Not Call List? - RickGot a call on 4/20/18 from this number. My phone notified me it was suspected scam caller, so I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.

- JH| 1 replyThe guy was heavily accented from the Indian Subcontinent. He said my computer was at risk because it was operating without a firewall. When I asked him which company he was representing he said it was "Windows Technical Department". I said I had never heard of it and he said it operated on behalf of Microsoft. I asked him why my own IT department was not calling me and things started to get weird. I then asked for his name and he hung up.

- Roe| 1 replyIf you are registered on the donotcall list that is for legal telemarketers who follow the guidelines, If not, they can face hefty fines if reported and found guilty of violations. The people calling you are scammers, they are often based out of the US and do not care about legal laws and do what they want to attempt to get money out of unsuspecting people. Best thing to do is not answer any calls from unrecognizable numbers and block them if you can. Do not engage them in conversation, this is what they want to try and wear you down.

At one point they hung up and called back, I answered "Microsoft Support. This is Carey. How can I help you?" Then I told him to type in the web address he had given me, then told him to add "back slash gofuckyourself."
He was "Whatt!?!" Then I told him to stop scamming people.- Caller: MS Support
