Scammer. Phone said so but I answered to see. Yeah, I don't even have a laptop. Just phone and iPad. Don't ever let someone access your computer. My mom likes to play games with them,  I don't have time. I just hung up.

They keep on calling me. I will block. I live in Canada and they're in California, which indicates to me that something is weird. I have no dealings with anyone in the USA. I answered once and said, "Hello, California,' and they immediately hung up.

Scam!  No way can Microsoft tell if your computer is infected!  If you agree to let them have access to your computer to "fix" it, you will open up your entire computer and files to ID theft.
The product these scammers sell is legit, but they charge you 5+ times what you could buy it for yourself.
In addition, giving them access a huge problem is they will download a registry app which can change anything on your computer!  Hang up immediately and block the number!.

Several Calls in a week. Answered only 1 and realized it was a scam as soon as I heard him speak in foreign accent. So tired of calls like this.

Got a call from this number and they claimed to be a Apple rep. I asked for information to indicate that they were legitimate and they could not provide anything. I said in the previous post, not do provide any personal information to someone from this number as it is clearly a scam.

They called me just now and I asked about my "iMac 7", because they said they have called for "Windows Technical Support".   They said they were "Indows" which sounds a lot like Windows.  I said for them to call me back within 2 hours so I can go and find a way to connect it to internet.  This at least buyed me time to look into the number.

It's a scam.  They're calling me.  They almost got me when my computer popped up an error message and told me to call this number.  They take control of your computer, then tell you you have to buy a service contract.  It happened to me twice.  Once I called them because I googled HP and they had a link that said HP services.  But, when you look at the address of page, it's a different company.  And when they answer the phone they say a different company.

They have called the usual "three strikes and you're out!" So I checked here to confirm my suspicions. I never answer calls from caller IDs I do not know....been there, done that. "Woodstock" is cute, but if you pick up a call from this caller ID, you're clueless and addicted to answering your calls without THINKING about it for a minute. Blocked!

Scammers are using illegal auto-dialers to call every number in the Ontario and B.C. regions. This phone number is indeed shared amongst multiple computer tech scammers.

For anyone else reading, ensure that you do NOT give them any of your details or access to your computer.

    Hope this helps.

I usually avoid answering unknown numbers, but after my mother's instance I answered. I didn't catch the dude's name, but that thick Indian accent is hard to miss. After saying "Hello?" almost ten times, he finally said he was from Windows and that my computer was at risk and that he needed access to it so he could help me fix the problem. I don't own a computer, so that just screamed that this was a scam. Despite replying that I wasn't interested in what he was selling, he kept trying to get me to give him access to my nonexistent computer. I hung up, did some research on the number, and now I'm just waiting to see if they call me back so I can mess with them.

TL;DR - It's a scam. Don't answer, unless you enjoy messing with scammers, in which case go nuts!
