- Glorious replies to unglorious| 5 repliesI have a hunch that nothing will be paid out to investors. The movie probably had less than $12M in box office receipts worldwide. The producers of this travesty will say that expenses exceeded that 6 fold or more. So it lost money. Oh, if you believe what you read here (I do) the producers were paid handsome fees for the work they did. They may not have invested in the film themselves, they were just employees. Who each were paid for their work. I mean after all, we can't expect them to want to put some of their hard earned money back into the company to make some kind of distribution possible to investors.
Regarding the financials, they probably want to give you an ID and password to see the statements on-line. Of course they will most likely not be audited. Ask to see a Profit and Loss. Ask to see a two year comparison. Look closely and Professional Fees and salaries. Should be enlightening. - FINANCIALS replies to Glorious| 4 repliesShould the financials from both the LLC's and the Production be available? The LLC should accurately provide exact amounts paid out and to whom. The production financials should provide the same as well. I also believe that these should be audited financials. This is a $120,000,000 project with 10,000 investors. I do not feel that they can legally just do what they want and send out some excel spreadsheet of rounded numbers. For instance, when they claim a $70,000,000 budget, what does that mean. Was $70,000,000 put on the screen? Lets break that down to actual costs. Then there is the extra $50,000,000 that went to something. There doesn't appear to be any clarity. A password protected is fine for general accounting , but a formal, audited accounting should be mailed out. K1's will probably come out around June / July. just late enough to screw up tax returns.
Bottom line is why did every loose money and Neil Kaufman make $10,000,000 and Centineo $20,000,000 and Carroll Brothers $20,000,000?
The saddest part is that no one will ever do anything about and the SEC / FBI won't even look into this.
The perfect caper. The real life story is much more interesting than the crayons on screen. - Glorious replies to FINANCIALSIt would probably be argued that if the figures you cited are accurate that each of those persons were paid the going rate for the work they did. In the movie industry, that is not out of scale with what other people are paid in the industry. Whether or not the film was profitable matters not when one has millions of dollars on his W-2.
- toyman replies to FINANCIALS| 2 repliesDont know where you got those numbers , but no one made that kind of money
- TOY FOOL replies to toymanReally curious how you would know exactly what anyone made. It appears pretty clear that commissions of 22% were paid out to someone, and 20% was paid out to Summertime / Alpine
Centineo was pretty clear that HE raised $100,000,000. He was arrogant and proud about doing that.
what numbers does your math work out to? - What Now?????What happens now? A handful of negative comments continue but the positive and reassuring messages have come to a complete halt. There were nearly 30 producers on this film. The credits included every family and friend possible it seems. I wonder how many people were on "payroll". Has any collective action been taken? I realize that there is risk in any and all investments but there is also a fiduciary responsibility to properly manage the finances of the project. The question I have is WHY should the shysters enjoyed all the monetary rewards and the investors lose everything. Centineo made a healthy income and really there doesn't seem to be any downside for him whether the film was a success or failure. What is saying on his pep talk calls now? I feel it we lost all our monies invested then it only fair that Centineo and Kaufman lose all that they profited.

- The Great and Wonderful.Greg is Co-Chairman of Tradition Studios, a newly created feature animation film studio which Greg has created with a team of some of the feature animation film industry’s most accomplished storytellers. Greg is also a founding principal of Pulse Evolution Corporation. Recently serving as an Executive Producer on LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN, Greg Centineo successfully completed production and promotional funding for largest budget animation feature film ever produced entirely outside of the ’studio system’. Leveraging his skills in structured financing honed earlier in his career at Washington Mutual and through his ground-breaking funding strategies, Greg successfully raised over $120 million and 100% of the film’s required capital.
Leverage his skills more from Herbalife amd Multi-level marketing. Skills would be finding proper financial backing through institutional lenders not through house parties. - ARROGANCE UNLEASHEDIf Greg Centineo had a title, it could be catalyst for life change, project promoter or seeker of meaning. His career is indefinable, but a series of seemingly unrelated experiences brought him to where he is today: aiming to increase people’s wealth by raising capital for one of Hollywood’s most exciting and monumental projects, the “Legends of Oz” 3-D-animated-film franchise.
Greg was never interested in working in the space of filmmaking. Implored repeatedly over the course of months to conduct the funding by the CEO of Summer Entertainment, the film and franchise’s production company. He didn’t think movies were good money makers, and he was already involved in private-equity endeavors. But a “what if?” feeling prevailed and sleepless nights grew more frequent.
Well I guess he was a catalyst in changing some peoples lives and retirement plans. BTW: he NEVER worked in the SPACE of filmmaking. He hosted house parties to raise money. Thats about it. Before that he cleaned up in the messy business of home loans with Washington Mutual, which is now out of business from handing out [***] loans. So I am not sure he is a FINANCIAL WIZARD.
But WHAT IF??? - PAID HOLIDAYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1VSjaK2Vio
Here is a great and informative video of Greg sharing his PAID vacation to France. You Paid for that VIEW. what do you think?
Parties? Sea View? Positive message? Everyone is EXCITED!!

Bonne Radford is still at - Lurker replies to toymanUh, toyman -a lot on money likely ended up in the pockets of someone but unfortunately the investors are unlikely to get nothing more than a tax write off. This was sold to too many people who should have never been involved in a project like this, many who are likely to lose money they couldn't afford to lose.
