- Stupid investor replies to Stupid investor| 1 replyI don't know, but as I understand it, the LLC has no money left. It would end up costing us more money than we would get in return. If they can't even pay the accountant to do the k-1's, or the attorney to pursue the suit against Clarius, it appears they've pocketed all the money and left. I'm certainly no attorney, I'm just a regular working Joe, but I believe the idea of the LLC is that we can't sue them personally.
What I would like to do, is collectively get together and throw some ideas around. I believe there are around 1700 investors, but none of us know each other, so individually we can't, or won't do anything, but as a group that owns the lions share of this movie, maybe we could do something together. I'd love to send out an email to everyone or set up a Facebook page, where we could all throw some ideas together and see what sticks, if anything. The guy I spoke to thought there was still value in the movie.
The other thing I was thinking is, why should we believe this guy that the LLC didn't set up the franchise properly? Anyone potential buyer of the franchise could call and say we only own the movie, with all the liens, and he's going to take possession of everything else. I have a contract that says differently. Isn't that worth something? - Facebook replies to Stupid investorI am one of the investors who bought stock in the parent company on the premise that those of you who invested in the LLC was going to allow the company to have a big IPO and nice dividends. I wish I had never answered the phone that day from this telephone number nor ever subsequently spoken with Kaufman or the Carroll brother that called me. I have moved on from this debacle but still follow what is going on in case there are any developments to ponder. On Facebook you could create a closed group that you control. But you have to be very careful to make certain nothing is posted that is not factual. The last thing you need is to have someone posting slanderous content that you get dragged into. If people have not done the right thing thus far you can bet they will not in the future. The other thing is people's identities would become known so you have to weed out the anonymous people who attempt to join. Some will be bona fide investors trying to remain private-others will be opportunists and still others will be those intent on disrupting you. I would be curious to see what feedback you get here.
- Down Trodden replies to Another stupid investor| 1 replyThere seems to be enormous information surrounding this investment. If all of the investors were told tey were buying into a "franchise" and ownership of an Intellectual Property (IP) and were not that would have been a misrepresentation. What does Neil Kaufman have to say about this? Has he changed his mobile number?
He is correct that no one saw this movie but attempting a rerelease is never going to happen. Theaters do not want this product. It is a pretty novice concept. Not well thought out. Where and how did this $6M figure come from? ECOZ LLC has the IP rights but not DOZ LLC? $20M lien? Why has no one been notified of this? $78K owed to accountants? Where did all the reserve money go to? mismanaged? pocketed? Legal fees? Wasn't there a reserve for this as well? Was anyone notified that the DOZ LLC was closed? Why is ECOZ LLC open?
It seems rather scandalous to report that "a Carroll Brother" is in jail and the other on the lam. Any proof of this?
Is the IRA trust custodian still charging fees for something with zero value? There should be refunds.
I am concerned not with just the lost investment but all the wasted ancillary funds.

- A Voice From the Past replies to Stupid investor| 1 replyDid anyone else receive this?
Dear Investors in Dorothy of Oz, LLC and Emerald City of Oz, LLC:
I’m happy to let you know that a group of your fellow investors, myself among them, will soon be exploring possible opportunities to breathe new life into our investments, and I hope you’ll join us.
Our first step will be to open up a communications portal to ensure that all investors are fully informed about the choices they have. We then anticipate moving forward to evaluate our legal rights and strategic alternatives, and arrive at decisions that are in the best interest of all of us.
I plan to be back to you shortly with the particulars and look forward to collaborating with you as together we seek to maximize our investments’ value.
Sincerely,
Greg Centineo

- Another stupid investor replies to Down TroddenI do not have know the answers to your questions. Please contact Herky Williams at the phone number I provided above, and if you get some answers, please post them here. As for DOZ being closed and not ECOZ. It wasn't my intent to imply one was closed while the other wasn't. According to Mr. Williams, they are all gone. I just didn't list the separate entities.
- Another stupid investor replies to Stupid investorGood question. I assume only those on the "inside" have the list of investors. I'm sure they don't want us talking to each other, so we (investors) will never get access to such a list.

The SVE-IVM Joint Venture continues to make progress. We: (a) retained SEC counsel for IVM’s SEC filings; (b) are interviewing SEC auditing firms to engage for IVM’s SEC filings; (c) hired the cutting-edge stock transfer services of Transfer Online Inc.; (d) signed a dynamic hard-driving CEO, a highly qualified CFO, and a 20-year industry veteran CCO; (e) acquired Star Guardian LLC, and Alpine Pictures Inc., which includes a 20 year option agreement for the Legends of Oz series; and (f) secured for IVM the services of the Legends of Oz series author.
Currently, highly placed IVM reps are exploring co-production and/or licensing deals with several Hollywood studios and networks for the Legends of Oz series. With the international name recognition that goes along with being associated with the “Wizard of Oz” brand, the opportunities for the Legends of Oz franchise are truly global. Our multimedia marketing campaign is designed to extend that reach and management is vetting all opportunities.
Due to the enthusiastic reception for our recently offered SVE-IVM Joint Venture opportunity we’re preparing another round of funding so as to continue developing shareholder value, and include as many of the accredited investor members of the Dorothy of Oz LLC (DOZ) and Emerald City of Oz LLC, (ECOZ) as possible. Meanwhile, we’re working with IVM’s general counsel to try and find a way to reconcile some of the many cases we’ve discovered of investors who have lost most or all of their life savings in their DOZ and/or ECOZ investment. The numerous regulatory violations assessed notwithstanding, these Oz members misfortunes have gone unaddressed for far too long. We are in the hopes that as IVM generates more forward momentum, we will be able to provide some relief to some of these most unfortunate members of the Oz community.
It is our understanding that the leader of the group that solicited investors for the funding of the “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return” movie has come back to the Oz community promising another plan. While we are happy for anything that may help mitigate previous losses, Inspirational Vision Media’s management is looking forward to the future for new opportunities for the Legends of Oz franchise and the IVM shareholders.

What or who do we believe?
From what I understand, we the investors in Dorothy of Oz and Legends of Oz franchise are the owners of the movie.
IVM joined forces with the Carroll Brothers who own the rights to the series of Oz books. ( funny I thought we were buying into them', but that's another part of this mess) Anyway it looks to me IVM is starting all over again with the old song and dance to raise money for the Carroll Brothers to live there lavish lifestyles. Offering the same hope and dreams we bought into. I guess we are lucky they actually did produce a movie.
It sounds like Greg and some of the big investors are joining up to try and breath life back into the movie. Who knows with a few tweaks and good P&A the movie could be reintroduced.
Now I say to myself, who do I want to hang my hopes on? Greg's team is made up of people like you and I who have money invested and just want to find a way to recoup at least some of our losses.
The IVM team doesn't have anything invested in our movie. They have the Carroll Brothers who mismanaged our money and made bad business decisions( Clarius) Is IVM just another fund raising group?
Any ideas - HartThere you go again. Just one more time, and it will all work out. Yes, that title is ever green. Simply ignore that man behind the curtain and wire the 20k downstage left. When the deal comes without asking for more, I may believe again. The more money take, though, discounts it for me.
- MichaelJune 16, 2016 - Caller ID said 201-658-3212. I got an interactive prerecorded bot call to my cell number that is on the national DNC list. The voice said it was "Jason" from the First National Information Network, and said it was doing a survey. It never gave a phone number.
After a few questions about investments in clear and perfect English, I got suspicious that I was talking to a robot. I started giving responses (like 'representative") or asking questions, and it gave back answers that did not make sense given what I had just said, and did not answer my question about what their number is, and instead would keep asking questions about investments as if I had even said anything, and it became clear that it was not a live person on the other end.
When I asked if the call was prerecorded, the prerecorded voice gave a prerecorded laugh and said, yes, I am real or something like that. Eventually it ran out of questions, thanked me for my response, and hung up.
When I called 201-658-3212 a little later, I got someone's voicemail that was full.- Caller: First National Information Network

- Guest| 1 replyAnyone receive a 2015 K1 yet for ECOZ ? Any news from anyone on what is going on, if anything?
- Reply to Guest replies to GuestThere will be no K1s. There is no money to pay the accountant.
- Anonym replies to Legends of OZ Scam Expert| 3 repliesI know it's been a while since this post, but I just found it. As one of the non-accredited investors (by the way, I TOLD them several times I wasn't accredited and they pushed me into investing anyway) what specifically can I do now? Need some real advice here. Do I contact some state office or consumer advocate?
- What you replies to Anonym| 1 replydo, is first realize that you should have done due diligence before investing. But since you didn't, you now have to go out and find a lawyer to advise you, otherwise the legal advice you get here will be worth less than your investment.
- Anonym replies to What youThanks for the reply, especially since this is such an old post. You're right, I should have done better due diligence. But apparently that's exactly why there are laws protecting non-accredited investors. I work 80 goddamn hours/week trying to build a small business - I didn't have time to do a ton of research. I'm not stupid, I've hung up on plenty of scammers. This one sounded legit, but obviously I was wrong. No need to crucify/ridicule us for it, what's done is done and we feel bad enough already. So, I'm hoping to find someone compassionate enough to point me in a specific direction to find what, if anything, I can do about it at this point. Hopefully, there are some free resources, because paying a lawyer would just be rubbing salt in the wound.
- Gary Ostrow replies to AnonymI am an original investor and looking into legal options of going for the deep pocket. Feel free to get in touch.
Attorney Gary Ostrow, Esq - Another YearIf you did not receive a K-1 for 2015, I doubt you will be receiving one for 2016. If you bought stock in Alpine, you should speak with your Tax preparer about declaring it worthless and start taking the capital loss. What a shame all of this turned out to be. Sure hope these people have ceased their calls.
