This Frank Hamilton said I was going to be served with an arrest warrant if I didn't pay Cash Advance America for a loan that was gotten from one of their underwriting companies in the amount of $500.00 but they would accept $200 if I sent it today otherwise the paperwork would be filed at the courthouse on my name......It is most definitely a scam cause I asked where he was calling from and he said Texas and I ask Texas where and he then said Houston....I asked why there had been no correspondences sent through the mail and he said this was the only way and it had been sent two ago and I was just responding.....yes accent was more Indian....

I got the same email with the same Case No..I called them because I filed for Bankruptcy in 2014. I spoke w/ a "Frank" and informed him of this and he said I can still be charged with the criminal offenses the Bankruptcy doesn't protect me from that. I advised him I will forward this information on to my attorney, and did..I will see what she says.. Most likely a scam

It is a scam... replies to Elizabeth
....because email is not a valid means of notifying you that you owe money to someone.  Nor is debt a criminal matter.  If you've defaulted on a loan, you may end up with a civil court appearance.  As for the assertion that bankruptcy doesn't "protect" you from subsequent follow-up by debt collectors, that's a bunch of hooey.  That's precisely what bankruptcy laws do - protect you from Johnny-come-latelys who attempt to scam you out of money you legally no longer owe!  If you wish, you can certainly forward your email to the FBI at their Internet Crime Complaint Center - www.ic3.gov.  Otherwise, block their number, advise them you know they're scammers and have reported them to the appropriate authorities - your state's Attorney General, the FTC.

JB -- We have the exact same Case Number!  CASE-93-QV-04869

All the posts on here calmed my nerves, but the fact that I'm sharing the exact same case number with somebody else also proves to me that this is a HUGE scam.  Jerks......

I was just contacted on yesterday by Frank Hamilton representing Cash Advance Loans stating that if i did not pay a total of $969.45 yesterday, a warrant for my arrest would be issued. His initial contact was made via txt message stating "This is to inform you that there is a Arrest Warrant issued on your name. So I need you and your retain attorney to return the call as soon as possible on my number 832-224-8192. My name is Frank Hamilton from Law Enforcement Department."

I have not sent and will not send any money to this man, as I can see that is a scam. I stayed up all night worried about this and the phone calls kept coming. Luckily, my Supervisor was privy to the scam and advised me to do some research and I came across this site. Thank you to all that shared your stories. I can honestly say, this was a great help!

I received an email from Frank Hamilton just like JMN did saying the exact same thing that an arrest warrant was going to be issued.  It told me to download the letter attached. I am not downloading anything. I have forwarded this on to my attorney and letting him deal with it. The letter also said for me to cal 832-224-8192.
