I only use the number that was called for Craigslist sales so I know that's how they got my number. I missed the call and no voicemail was left. I know now after reading all the other reviews that this is just a telemarketer of some kind. I rarely answer my CL phone if the area code is not within the few near my area.

Just got a call from this number.  The area code was unrecognizable at first glance, so I knew it wasn't anything pertinent to me, as I doubt anyone outside of the handful of surrounding area codes were going to be interested in my crap for sale on Craigslist.  Maybe I'll answer next time and see what all the "exciting news" is.  Hahahahah!  I find people who cold-call or door-knock to sell me merchandise/their god/anything a deplorable breed.  Grr.

this lady called me.... i posted once in oregon from craigs... obviously she has a phishing program on craigs and gets numbers... craigs list should be contacted because of so many people reporting this telemarketing.... anyway that stupid lady!!

I have posted my number in numerous craigslist ads in the past month. Anyhow, I answer the phone and immediately detecting BS for winning something + the unfamiliar area code I had some fun with her. When she got done with her little spiel, I played Jehova's witness with her and tried to tell her about Mormonism. She finally hung up. Fight fire with fire.

This number keep calling me an i don't know who they are

Just answer their call and speak different in disgusting accent and they will never call you.

This is because of a craigslist posting.  These monkeys can get your number so many ways. I always try to sell them something. Like a nice engraved wood or plastic name sign for their desk or cubicle.  Or a personallized trash can or cofee cup. I'm persistant as hell and they hang up.  Try it sometime.

I also received two calls from this number, no message, and have ads on craigslist. Glad I didn't answer!

I received an unwanted call from this company about a free vacation. The call came through my cell. My number is also on the do not call list

Called me while I was on the phone with someone else, I didn't answer, tried to call back but it says the number is not valid

i'm sixteen. they just called me. some lady that sort of sounded like a little kid trying to sound older with a slight accent ? i told them they must have had the wrong number. she repeated my number again, and told me she had tried to call me twice before then. this was the first call i had gotten. she kept asking if my mom or dad were there. i asked her if she even knew who they were. she said it was random and they won something. i told her no. she kept asking if they were available, and every time i said no, she'd ask for another way to contact them. i got so annoyed that i handed my mom my phone and she said in a stern voice to stop calling me. they would pause for a second and talk to someone in the backround. but she wouldn't stop talking. mom didn't hear a word she said and she said the accent was beyond stupid and that it sounded like a kid faking a voice. she kept yelling at them not to call and the lady hung up. no one in my family has posted on craig's list, so it can't be that.

I forgot to add that it is Tuesday, they called me about 25 minutes ago, around 7:05-7:10 p.m.

They got my number, and I do post to Craigslist. But from the sounds of it she gets the info from multiple sources!

I received a call tonight around 8:45 from this number.  No name listed on Caller ID, just the number.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  I thought if it was important, they could leave a message.  Guess it wasn't important because no message!  I did post an ad on Craigslist this evening so that must be the connection.  I think I'll remove my phone number from the ad.  What a pain.  Dirt bags!

Just received a call from 832-397-6170 on my cell phone and caller id indicated it was from the Houston area.  Only because I was expecting a return call from a business I'd called late this afternoon, and am unaware of the location of their main headquarters, I answered.  The woman said she was Nicole with Vacations Your Way.  She had the audacity to ask my age because she said I sounded like I was ten.  I then asked to speak with her supervisor and she hung up on me.  My home phone is on the do no call list and am less than pleased that telemarketers have now taken to harassing us on our cell phones.  I plan to contact the attorney general's office.

I also forgot to add the day and time: Monday at 7:16 p.m.

I have never visited Craigslist.  We have an unpublished home phone which is on do not call list and my cell is only given to folks and businesses I know.

Here is the latest twist. My cell phone rang and I looked at the called ID and it was the number of one of my friends that I have in my cell phones memory. So I answered it. Lo and behold it was the chick from Manilla. (They are calling from the Philippines). Anyway now I suspect they can hack your cell phone number storage to get your saved numbers, thats possibly why some ppl on here have not listed on Criagslist but still get those calls. I called the FBI and they said to report it to www.ic3.gov.
