- KTBryantI just got a call from these bums. Talking bout I have two charges against me. These people need to get a life!!!!!
- Caller: Braufmann Leigh
- Call type: Debt collector
- aptReceived a voice mail message from Kevin Harper stating that I was being served for a civil case. No other identification of complainant, etc. Left a case number. I'm so glad that it occurred to me to check here before returning the call. I went to my state legal website to look up any court cases filed against me in this state and there is nothing filed. The case number given in the voice mail leads to nothing when checked, also. I've had scammers call me in the past trying to tell me that I owed for payday loans, etc. which scared the life out of me at the time. Sad to say, but I'm older and wiser now. PLEASE make sure to question everything when someone calls like this. If it's legit they have to mail you the proper documents and give you 30 days to respond. If you have not received anything by mail, it is within your rights to request that documentation. Never give anyone payment or account information over the phone without first getting that written proof of debt.

- Nicole| 1 replyJust got a phone call from these jerks looking for a Randy Walton. I looked here before calling them back because I have no idea who this Randy Walton person is. Glad I looked here first to find out this is a scam. Makes me really mad that my husband is doing his part for our great country overseas to give these jerks the freedom to hassle his wife at home. Just wait until my husband hears about this!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - TThis company calls and you cannot connect to the service after pressing 1 - it clicks off. Then if you call back the number the mail box is full. They have been calling asking for a name of someone I have never heard of - Justin Rubino - and I have asked to have my number removed from their lists.

- Scotti replies to Rickthis same company has been harassing my daughter for years looking for a "Latisha Moreno". Few years ago I was actually able to get ahold of someone at this scammer company, spoke to a guy who said he was a manager (interestingly enough a few days later I called and no one had ever heard of him) and he said her number was listed on a pay day loan for this "Latisha Moreno" person. I explained to him that my daughter is a minor and that we have had her phone number (at that time) for about 6 years and they should not be leaving the messages they are leaving (going to serve her with legal papers, etc) and if they call again I would institute action against them (I have been in the legal field for years). Got another call a few days later and that is when I called back and the "manager" I had spoken to was mysteriously unknown. This time I spoke to an "investigator" who I went R&R with, the conversation got very belligerent. I ended up doing my own investigation, they used to call themselves RAB or Regional Arbitration Services they are all over the internet they change their phone #'s all the time. I and my attorney sent this RAB several letters, certified, and we did not hear from them for a very long time. They just started calling my daughter, again looking for this "Leticia Moreno" and now when I try calling them back at the # they leave the mail box is full. Rick, if you are with Homeland..seriously...get an investigation going against these guys.
- tired of phonescamsGot a call this morning at 11:06am. I usually don't answer any calls like these since 99.99% are all just scams and nothing they say is real and so talking to a scammer is a waste of time. I do sometimes turn the phone on to answer and then immediately turn it off to hang-up. But as soon as I hit the on button the recorded message started, but I still hung up.
I would recommend people never even talk to them at all.
If there is any real legal action being taken against someone, they (whoever is starting the legal action) will send the court papers in the mail or have a local police officer personally deliver them - they do not call with a recorded message!- Caller: +18327427937
- Ms SmithI am contacting my state attorney generals office.
- Marquart replies to tI just got the exact same message... Pretty sure it's a scam..
- Fed upThis is a scam!!! Robo calls saying unwarranted legal action is being taken against you. They want you to talk to a rep or call another # (972)362-1077. Some good "The Do not Call List" is !!!!! Maybe we should start giving out the business & personal phone numbers of our politicians and see how they like putting up with this crap. That might get them to really do something about it.
- ValerieThey told me my name is Kathy and that I have 2 pending case against me I need to call them.. 1 my name ain't Kathy.
