Got a call from 866-253-8572, which I didn't answer.  They left a message.  They had my son's name, something about a compliant filed with their "outsourcing department", gave a "file number", and left the number 833-253-8572

They call from another number and then say they are going ro sue me if i dont reply...... Stupid

Threatening message same as others listed first leave a recording then ask you to press 1 for live agent.

OMG!  I got the same call from the same girl.  Left a message that someone filed a complaint against me and I need to call.  They probably have someone scouring credit reports on everyone who had recently applied for credit to see if someone owes money and tries to scam them into paying.  I never give out my cell number unless it is to someone or a company I know very well.  I wonder how they got my cell number.

Listen to the call very carefully.  The lady's voice is real.  Your name and other pertinent information is a computer generated voice to make you think it's a call from an American Company.  This way you are deceived into calling only to find out it is someone from India or the Middle East trying to scam you.  DON"T CALL BACK.  If you do then they know they've got a real person and keep calling.

Same thing. Few days ago some scammer used a bunch of my Facebook friends as their own then tried to refriend us again. I changed my Facebook password and things got back to normal again. Then today I get this threatening call saying someone had logged a complaint against me. If I didn't respond, there would be "consequences"!!!  WTF. This kind of thing has never happened to me before.. now after reading these, it sounds like scammer.

They used an old married name I only use on Facebook.  Said they had a complaint against me. I a.m. blocking the number.

Called my parents saying I owed them for a Visa credit card.  My mom told them that I went through a credit counseling program that took care of all my credit cards.  They insisted that I still owed them.  They had all my info except my phone number

Since you revealed your SS. I would put a red flag on all three of your credit reports and file a police report and file a report with the Federal Trade Commision (FTC).  I can assure you these are scammers.  I hope you learned from this.  Never confirm or reveal information - just hang up.

This " company" and I  use that term lightly, are scammers. Left me a threating message, etc. Just playing on people's fears that may have credit problems. I personally don't, so I couldn't take their LIES  seriously. Just ignore their calls or block them if you can!

Left a voicemail saying to call a different number, saying there was a complaint against... my deceased mother.Not possible. Scammers.

Very strange number, a scam! They say that I have to immediately respond to them with a reference number.

This company, Account Recovery Services, called about a debt owed by someone in Kentucky, we live in Florida. They refused to give mailing address, 3 times they hung up when I asked for employee ID#. They promised to remove number.
