This number called my mom first then sent me the same exact text as everyone else, this is Thomas ect ect. When I called backed, the girl said they filed a lien against my bank. I started asking questions the girl got mad and yelled at me, said I was irresponsible for not paying my debt. Total scam! They had all outdated information. I asked for a case number and she started to stutter and got even more mad and hung up. Don’t fall for this scam!!

I am 100% certain that the bank's lawyers would have been all over that since they are not responsible for your alleged debt.

I have got the same message except for it was in my son's name and he had passed away in 2014, so how they got his name is beyond me that they would send me this message in his name.

} they contacted my wife and dad not me? Weird.

Not at all. Those "Family Reunion" calls are echoed throughout the URS complaints, and are standard ops for shady debt collectors everywhere. The game is pretending to skip trace as though you can't be found, stirring gossip and anxiety to pry open your wallet.

} they were very rude had all my information

Rude behavior I believe, omniscience I don't. They have a few facts pulled from a debt portfolio spreadsheet to sell their threat. They don't have proof you owe, as you've already suspected. This again is common practice for the breed.
