'Accounts receivable'/debt collection agency on fishing expedition. I called both numbers, 973.532.5467, and 1.833.467.0091; call not answered.

Call was not for me, but for my husband’s ex-wife. Thinking collection company is using info found on a skip trace search to get you to call in. Not sure if call was truly for the ex of a bait for me to call in. Deleted message.

Candace, I received a call from Amy with Oliver Wright Associates in regard to a nephew of mine asking for documentation attached to his SS# and wanted his statement before making determination. Do you have any more information on this Association? If so please email me. Thanks.

Candace posted here last October.  I doubt that she will be back.  What is even more incredulous is the fact that everything you are looking for was posted in this thread.  On that very page in fact.  Maybe you should try reading further?

They claimed they had a debt tied to my social security number...left a voice msg with my husband

called me using 608 area code only to call them back at the 833 area code. Same jargon that others have got about your name and ss# is connected to.

This was the call back # from a call that shows on my phone is from 602-554-7822.  Call stating they need to resolve info before court on a person I don't know.  I've had my phone over 3 years so not sure how they got my #.  I called back phone answered by a rude man who cut me off saying they would remove my number from their list.  This has been going on for months now alway a different # on my phone but call back the number listed here

A couple of weeks ago I got a voicemail from this agency. Except it was from a local number, but wanted me to call back an 844 number. The voicemail said there was something tied to my ssn. So I called them back and they told me they were trying to collect a debt from check into cash. They sent a letter to my email and I decided to settle it before they sent it to my local court. I gave them my bank card info, and split the payments in two. When the first payment posted, I got a notification that it was suspicious from my bank. The next day my bank account was hacked for over $700, all charges in New York. So I went to get a new debit card. When it was time for my second payment to post, it declined because I got a new card. I started getting threatening calls about garnishing my wages. I just ignored them until they called my brother. So I returned their call. Questioned why calls from them were coming from local numbers and Ashley informed me that there must be a problem with the phone company. I asked why my account was hacked. Her response was “we wouldn’t do that to people, especially in times like these”. I told her I needed proof they were legit because I had already called their local clerk of courts. Her response was “you don’t have to pay it, it doesn’t matter either way to me this is your problem”. So I called the original payday loan place where this debt supposedly came from and they had no record of me. So I called ashley back, and she said well get me proof and I will refund you your money” I said I don’t have to provide proof, the loan company already told me you’re a scam. She then hung up. Haven’t heard from them since.
Guys. Don’t fall for this.

Just got a call from Amy REED  (740-251-9654 OWA on caller ID)  Had important documents attached to name and social security number.  Number to call back was (1-833-467-0091)  when I called back they wanted to speak my son, I stated he does not live here was told we'll take you off the list and hung up on me.  I gave absolutely no information.  I get threating calls like this frequently.  I believe this to be a scam.

Did they give you the last 4 digits of cell phone

Have been called 100x by this company using different numbers, asking for someone that is not me. When I finally told them off that Im tired of them doing this they told me I sounded fat and they could smell me through the phone and I should go take a shower to get myself on the corner to make some money to pay off my debt. INSANE PEOPLE

I received a call (from a local number) at work which came through as "an important matter" and to call back 833-395-9111.  I had time on my hands (working from home) to call back.  They stated that they had two items and once I knew I could dispute right away from the "file number".  The other is supposedly from 2018, was a debt I did not recognize and was not on my credit report so I asked for some sort of written documentation.  They said that they don't do that and tried to save it by saying that they had my social.  I told him that I had foolishly applied for an online payday loan in 2016 and know that my info is still out there in regards to that foolishness.  I then proceeded to tell them that legally, they were required to provide written documentation.  I also then threatened to contact some local debt lawyers I'd worked with in the past.  All of sudden it is another disputed account with them but they did mention "court" (again that would be some written documentation).  I suspect they are a company that buys debt for pennies on the dollar.  Interestingly, they were calling from this number on my cellphone when I was on the phone with them on the other number.

I hot a call for my husband they said he owd money to capital one Visa card and has owed it for years well we have been married for 20 years,never had a capital one visa card. Just received a letter saying he could pay a lesser amount to settle this debt. It has never showed up on his credit report at all.
