Same scam from last week. 844-279-7423 changed it's number. Tells you that you have to repay a loan from a cash advance place (never been to one myself) and then gets angry when you ask for information and demands wire payment to avoid prosecution.

Called me again today, also my job, my ex whom we have been divorced 20 years, and my daughter. Wanted me to verify info and I said no, then asked why I called, I laughed and said you called me. So tired of this crap, wish they could be sopped. I FILED WITH THE WV STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE.

A group called SAR and Associates. It is a scam involving a bankrupt company out of overland ks.  Claiming debt collection on payday loans.  The company called LTS Management I believe is purposed to have connections in Africa and is no longer in business.  Complain to your state attorney general.  Block their calls but they will try to contact family.  Due your part send them a C&D and start keeping a log of their calls.  They can be liable for 1000 for violating fdcpra laws but you have to do it legally.  Look up their other number and see the postings.

They called at least ten times leaves no message answered said I owed payday loan from five years ago. They new where I worked, address, ssn, bank name. The Asian no English lady couldn't answer my questions she had a back guy who spoke perfect English her partner in crime. They used words like fraud, I will go to jail, sheriff, I need a lawyer.. They answer no questions and wouldn't provide any written documents. When I refused to pay their so call settlement at 50 percent off they told me a sheriff would serve me paper's, I told them I couldn't wait! They are stealing identity's and its embezzlement where any law enforcement or attorney general office should shut them down!

You can thank companies who have our personal information in their overseas call centers. They have dishonest employees steal our info and that my friend is how they get our personal information.

they called me, and my relatives today, and said something about a 'claim', but they dont leave any business name (there's a red flag), or representative name (red flag, again). Given the comments here, they are going to try and tell me that I owe a payday loan, and I havent had a payday loan in almost ten years, and they were all paid off back then. If they call you, I would hang up and forget them, or report them to the ftc etc.

The address on SW 24th St is a residence, but the second address on 79th st, suite 140 seems to be a loan company of some sort, possibly between these three businesses they are getting people’s information?
    http://www.placestogoinmiami.com/places/1736999-Retail-Business-Funding/
    http://www.placestogoinmiami.com/places/1701334-ContractorFunding/

This site lists them as active even though Sunbiz does not:  http://florida.intercreditreport.com/company/ ... lc-l15000148080

Florida office of Financial Regulation has no listing for them as required by Florida law to be a debt collector.
It seems they send the same letter and amount to everyone.  Other complaints:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

    Confused
Called from 844-279-7423 last week. Now calling from 844-279-7424. Calling and leaving messages for someone I don't know. They are leaving messages for a male. I am a female. I have blocked both numbers. They are saying they are from IPS. I wish they would stop. I'm going to have to change my number soon if this keeps up.

I'm so glad I found this thread because these people had me scared to death. They threatened to report me immediately to the credit bureaus if I did not pay, among with having to go to court. The information they were claiming didn't add up, so by the end of the phone call, I knew for sure it was a scam. Can these people get into my bank account?? Im in the middle of purchasing a home and this would be devastating to us right now.

They called and left the same VM on my parents house. Kind of funny since I never give that number out on anything. I always give "bogus" numbers out when a place ask for a reference. I mean really. But yes they are a csm company. The company they claim to get "your" file from went out of business over 2 years ago. File a complaint with the FCC, I did already. Do not engage with them, do not respond or call back. Nonetheless, if a firm takes you to court for the debt they still need to prove it. They have no agreement and cannot verify the full details regarding their claim. They just need to be stopped. Also call your bank. Give the then name IPS and the full name and have the block any attemps to take funds from your account.

Continuously call and threaten me with the sheriff, summons etc but never provide "the claim". When I stated the info about mailing me the so called debt they hung up. I called back told them I know my rights and would be reporting them they hung up. I called back and again stated facts about the fair credit act they hung up. Smh. Oh and they state they are IPS yes sitting in their living room or whatever. A big scam.

It's a scam, They called my family members, then I called them back, right off they are asking me questions that they should know if I had a loan, in which 2009 I was only 13 years old. They were yelling at me, hanging up on and never let me talk to a supervisor.
