This number called my cell. My true caller app said it was spam so I didn't answer. I blocked the number.

Got a call, they said they were conducting a servey for Veterans Affair.

Called my cell 2x left no message- blocking!  On the dnc list.

Scammers don't care about telemarketing laws. Or any laws for that matter.

Scammers don't care about the DNC list.

What's the problem? He was doing his job and apologized.

It isn't a scam. It's a survey, they aren't telemarketers.

They aren't scammers. They never ask for money or "donations". It's a survey, that's all.

You obviously didn't take the call because they never ask for credit card numbers or money in general. It is a legitimate survey on local issues, they just want to know your opinion.

Maybe you should research the company because it isn't a scam.

Did it ever cross your mind that the study was for people living in New Orleans?

Surveys are ex3mpt from the DNC.

Called 4 times in the past 3 hours.  Did not answer so don't know who it is or what they are scamming.

Called me around 8PM.  I answered, they knew my name, what city I lived in (does not align with my area code).  They said they were with ADG (?) and if I had time for a short survey.  I listened and it seemed like a legit survey about my attitudes towards law enforcement in my neighborhood.  About 15-20 questions, lasted about 5 minutes.  Never tried to sell anything, but I still don't REALLY know what it was for.  Anyway, not sure I found answers here or have concrete answers to give.

at 6:10 pm # 1-844-283-5487 rang my cell phone.  no 000 in front of anything.  did NOT answer bcuz I don't answer any unknown #'s

Answered the call and only got a straight static of silence for about ten seconds as a result before the caller hang up. I said hello twice in the meantime of listening to this call, but that caller still remained silent. To make things sound even more creepy, the caller rung my phone at 6:00 PM PST while I was in a middle of a surreal nightmare. I can briefly describe my nightmare as attempting to snapshot a pedophile with a smartphone that has a faulty camera, stopping my brother from flushing down a cat in a bathroom after it was soaked in hot water, randomly fighting Wario as a video game boss from a 3rd person retro perspective, and spectating a girl swimming at a lake with an odd looking family that allusively express their egos at her about why they are better than her in every way.

My nightmare presented itself with the following settings: an unrecognizable store (coffee shop is my best guess), a familiar street that is almost visually covered with a monochrome atmosphere, an unfamiliar interior of a house but looks exactly like my house from the outside, and an outdoor lake.

I'm tired of them calling me and telling me that they are garish my wages and call my work every day if they have too until I pay my debit.

Got a call stating my name, said that they were doing a survey on public safety in my area, asked for my year of birth, hung up on them.

I got a call after midnight from this number, and accidentally called it back. It said it was a Market Research company looking for the opinions of Americans for helping formulate laws and marketing strategies. It's probably more on the marketing strategies side of things, right? They say they are operating in compliance with the rules of the do not call list (and yet not) and are not selling or soliciting donations. Information offered to this number will be used by govt and business entities. Then they give you an option to be removed from their internal phone list, but they ask you to respond by requesting that "service" and then asking you to type in your cell number, which to me is just a ploy to get you to say that you HAVE a cell that is active. They call in the middle of the night, IN THE USA, and that doesn't make sense at all. Are they a Chinese bot intended to give us a bad night's sleep? Or something even more nefarious? WTH?
