Myself and my son just got the same calls. They have now found a family member. Same thing...Mark Wallace looking for (my name) regarding a formal complaint. My son was worried, but I told him it's spam and just block the number. I have it blocked but still get the voicemail. If this was legit in any way, the proper authorities would have already been notified. Spam for sure.

Received a call/voicemail from this number on my work phone today.  Said it was Mark Wallace calling about a formal complaint filed against someone with my same last name but different first name.  The name was in a  robotic voice that was obviously different from Mr. Wallace.  The call threatened to call the authorities.

I got a call from this number asking for my wife by her maiden name. Same as the other posters here - He had a robotic voice saying someone's name, and that a formal complaint had been filed and their next step would be "contacting the proper authorities".

That kid owes so many people so much money. I DARE them to send someone to the house for her. Especially since 1. She doesn't live with me and 2. I have several DPD Swat team members on speed dial in my phone (thanks to my husband's line of work).

I too heard from Mark Wallace today, threatening if he didn't hear back about "robotic voice" of *****, he would notify the proper authorities. Go ahead MARK.

An automated dialer.( Duh... ) digging for free stuff to steal.

Block it.
Report it to ur phone provider.

Just don't answer personally any calls not in ur contacts.lists.

it was a robotic male voice saying his name was mark wallace, then recorded voice stating my ex husbands name, then threatened to call authorities. They called my current husbands phone number ?!???!

I believe it's recovery something. The lady slipped and told me. Then hung up in my face.

Called them back today. Same creepy message, gonna call proper authorities. The person who answered was not the same person who answered the call. Was named Lee. Incredibly rude, interrupted me repeatedly. Stated I was being sued for a  payday loan I hadn't paid back. Wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor, his "director" was in the room and refused to speak to me. Then stated it had happened 3 years before I had even moved to my current state of residence, and yet I took out the money in this state? Got very defensive when I called it a scam. I hung up and now an unknown number keeps calling me.

Same recorded message as all of you! So annoying. Our number probably all got sold to these people. UGH!

We got the same first part was automated, then a normal voice Mark Wallace and was looking for someone in a robotic voice. Wanted to locate a person to file a complaint against. Go ahead file a complaint and we will sue you for harassment and distress of our family members because of your spam junk.

As all of the responses here I received the same message and I called back! After being hung up on repeatedly and having my number blocked for awhile I finally spoke with a female that wouldn't give me any information just a story about a claimed debt from 5 years ago and they would handle it right now.  I asked to be given the information in writing (as per Federal Law) and she said "Good Luck in Court"... Obviously Intimidation tactics and not ready for a true response.  You will NEVER get the name or address of the company (prevents Cease and Desist letters or Starting a Case under Fair Debt Collection Practices.)   Bottom Feeders deluxe

Just received one of these calls a few minutes ago. Identified himself, said a complaint had been filed against "Mark (garbled)" and said proper authorities would be called. My phone identified it as a possible scam before I answered. It was right.

Glad to help out.  You've got to confront these people if they continue to call.   Per my entry.  And you have to keep on complaining to your local AG, local police as well as the FTC.  Complaints should always be in writing and you might consider going to media.

Call blocker might be of some assistance.  Also do NOT pick up on call number you do not recognize.  You might want to block the entire 844 area code number.
