called today - no ID but "toll free"  - knew it was a scam so didn't answer as they rang multi-times -more than usual- I ignore the rings; they don't bother me like they think it will

I called the number back and a person named Penny answered. The voice message I received was about my daughter. It was a very threatening call. From this man. He has called me 2 times my daughter 4 times. When I called back this penny person new exactly who I was and was asking gyrations about my daughter. I ask her what is this call for who are you people... I then proceeded to tell her I googled this number and you are a scam and I’m reporting you. She hung up faster than I could get everything out. It sounds like someone using one of those devices to sound like they are Americans. These people I’m sure are from over in some other countries. I don’t like my family and I being threatened!!

There are HUNDREDS of complaints about "Mark Wallace".  BLOCK the number & let your state attorney general know.

He states i am being wanted for harassment and i should contact this number once..

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Mark Wallace looking for an uncle of mine who threatened me in the past and I don't ever talk to. I'm glad it's a scam because I was very frightened, and I really don't know how anyone connected his name to mine.

I also received the same call but I will not call back since I am certain that anyone calling with that tone, does not deserve my attention.I would prefer that he contact the "authorities" as he threatened in his message. LOL. The authorities would probably be nicer to deal with. lol

This Mark Wallace has called my phone and my dad, asking for my whereabouts. Threatening to contact authorities if we don’t respond. Definitely a scam!

He has called twice. Left same message word for word twice. And calling back got automatic voice machine. Which hung up on me.

I have received the exact same voicemail twice

Automated voice that sounds like The Matrix telling me that I owe money and that the authorities are going to come get me if they don’t find me. Pssh definitely a scam.

A voice that sounded distorted told me to call back or "the proper authorities" would somehow become my problem.

I just received the same thing but he said one of my friends name . This is so weird .

It's a debt collection scam.  Simply ignore and block the calls.

"Mark Wallace" strikes again!
The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations.

Mark Wallace is a current debt scamming persona for this “CFS”.

Also their current favorite phrase is “refer matter to the authorities” which is a load of nonsense.

Report them:

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.
