Piece of crap debt collector using illegal scare tactics to try and scare you into paying a debt that they cannot prove that you owe or may not even owe. Don’t verify any information or promise to make any payments. Good chance statute of limitation has already passed. Pay them no attention.

Received message on my cellphone from a Greg Stephens who said there was a claim of check fraud and wanted me to call back to discuss options. I have this option: don't call back since I suspect this is nothing but a scam. If I do happen to speak to him , I'll ask him to send this in writing so I can let my attorney see it. Meanwhile, I'll make a complaint.

Excellent response. Wish we could get more people to do as you did. If you owe a debt, a real debt, you'll get mail. Lot's of mail. From every few days to once a week.

Hi I got the same phone call today as you did.

I received the same phone call-They said they got my number from a relative and I said your lying because I just got this phone and no one knows this number yet.  I had applied for something on line that's how the got it.  Thanks for the info I will ignore them.  I asked them were they a law firm and I couldn't get a straight answer, so I assumed not.

When they called me from 844-402-3776 they left a voicemail out of the blue stating claim of check fraud from a written from chase bank and the check was to payday loan. They wanted do 1200 but they would settle for 300 if I payed right now. Well I was about to pay it but I call back ask for written proof for the debt they need to send me a letter via US Mail they said I can send an email so they got mad and said that I will be arrested and sommons and bench warrant and I told him you just voilate the law so Greg Stephens got mad and hung up

844-402-3776 my mother and stated check fraud from a written from chase bank and the check was to payday loan. I have never taking out a payday loan and last year received calls from 213 426 8613 Rebecca and 216-920-7662 from a Hall someone now 844 402 3776 informed them that last year in FEB and March they scared me so much I paid two different companies 875.00 dollars. I reach out to the AZ General Attorney office and they reach out to them but 213 number and 216 number would not speak to them.  

Greg Stephens called did the same thing but I said I want proof of debt via mail. I but he said email to me and I said. I called my local police department they said it was a scam!

In most jurisdictions they would not even entertain this bull-ish...These people have no case...i just got the call and asked them to send me the court papers and I will meet you in court..He backed off and said ummm I just received the case.  First off most courts would not entertain these [***]...next time they call just say wait I need to record this call. They will hang up.

I keep getting calls from this Kramer Gallagher and Associates.  I asked them to send me proof of debt and they just sent a letter with their name stamped across it via email, stating I owed X amt of dollars.  They stated they were going to serve me with papers on my job for bank fraud and I would more than likely be arrested.  I contacted the complany the debt was supposed to be from and all the numbers were bogus,  sales numbers for prizes, etc.  They keep changing numbers.  Now they are calling from 8662177162.  If I owed something, why would'nt they mail it.  They have my DOB, name, and end of my SSN #... very scary situation.

They are claiming to be an obstetrics group in Phoenix. I have never heard of them. They were claiming it was for some account I had with them
