They left a message on my phone threatening to come to my house with a summons

A man who left some time go by without saying anything on the phone, came out with a threatening message about coming to my house with a summons and to have two types of ID available.
I got worried because I never ever had gotten this type of calls, then I thought, don't worry I owe noting to anyone.

The man dial my number he said his name was Johnathan, and left the 855-393-3793 phone number. When I called today no one answered. maybe is one of these numbers where they charge you for calling back.

Yup, my experience is exactly like the ones already posted before mine.

FYI....I got scammed by a company like this a couple of years ago. Don't fall for it. If they were a legitimate collection agency, they would not do things the way they do. They are not allowed to leave threatening messages or use any scare tactics to scare you into paying any debt its considered harrassment. In addition, they would have all your information including updated addresses. When they recently called again they gave me an address from 8 years ago. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called them cause I got a threatening call from 877-605-6332 (does not accept call backs) their robo told me to call this reported number (855-393-3793), they claim to be Swanson, Walker Associates.  Hack, Shill outfit.  You can tell because the original threatening call gives a number to call, but no reference file number, same for Swanson Walker, all the car about is the cell number that they called.  They say they are calling for "a random name" and claim this is the number they were given.  They are hoping for a quick hit of wired money from some sap, then they will disappear.  And clue to Schlockdom, They have no one to answer the phone after 5pm, surefire tip off, if they were legitimate, they would phone service after 5pm when most people getting home.  Why is this kind of stuff Legal!  I am sending letter to my states attorney general.

they just called my phone not too long ago, the "paralegal" name was "Victor"! when I told him there was nothing he could do me per his claims because of the statute of limitations in my state he starts to rant and rave saying he has 5yrs in NY. He named a bank that I'm supposed to be committing crimes on that I haven't banked w/ since 2005! LOL now this is the funny, when he realized he wasn't getting anywhere w/ me he goes to name delinquencies I'm supposed to have on my credit report which were FALSE! OMG a paralegal? Really? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO folks blocking works but sometimes you HAVE to stand up to these clowns in order for them to TRULY realize they're moving no ground with you and to get a job @ a car wash or ditch digging or something.

over the phone-settle what I ask? Saying I have an old debt.. The guy "jonathan" goes on and on and doesnt let you get a word in-I told him if you are a legit co then you have my mailing address from my credit report-and to mail it out and stop harassing me!!!! This company should be called swanson STALKER and ASS.. They threatened that the police had a warrant for me-huh? Ridiculous

some guy name Victor call once and some guy name johnathan call and left a threatening voice mail on my phone and said i need to call them about a charge off acct . if i dont they will go to come to my house and serve me to go to court and the he ask me my address .

Got the same time of message. It seems that these types of calls call around the holiday time,tax refund time,knowing that people will be having money. I even got one of these calls right after my husband passed away 5 months ago.

Got home today and had a. Message from " Jonathan steward" saying he would be serving me with a summons within 24-48 hours if I had any questions to call legal care services at 855-393-3793. When I did call the first time they answered legal care services I asked where they were located he asked my name ( didnt tell him) asked again there location cause the messages they leave ate illegal he hung up. I called right back and they answered Swanson walker associates. Again asked for their address they hung up. I. Called back again " victor"  answered Swanson. Walker associates. I said that the messages they leave ate against the law  he asked what no they called I told home he said d

Again said well it was still against the law he it me in hold then a mr Scott got answered and knew my name ( hmmm if not i your system how u knws name) asked if it was a Jonathan who left message said yes and it was a illegal message. He then said well he doesn't work for us he his a process server we contract to ( hmm he works for you) did you
Call him back. Uh no he left this no. And what is this about. He  won't tell me just kept asking me if install work at xxxxxx I wouldn't answer. Kept asking what the call was about. Still wouldn't tell me. When I told him the message was against the law. Just asked again if  I still work at xxxxx again I asked what it was about and where they were located. They are at 556 s transit Lockport ny. Again asked what it was about.  Still got no
Answer. He then told me  they would mail me a lettet not to call there again said good luck and hung up on me

I had the same guy call me today.  Johnathan Stuart - - he left the 855 number to call back regarding a summons I was going to get.  Anyway, I was talking to a 'paralegal' who had my social, my address, my number, name and all of my husbands information as well.  He was telling me I was being sued for a payday laon I had taken out about 5 years ago and havent repaid (hey, times are tough right now) =o(  - - - Anywa, what do you guys think?  How would they have gotten my information and my husbands if they werent legit - - they were telling me they were going to freeze my hubbys bank account becuase of the debt and everything - (I did this before I was married) - - - I had no idea that old debt would affect him =o(

Maria,  you will not be charged for calling a 1-855 back or for answering.  That horse was whipped to death on this board some time back.  The description of the 855 service is very misleading and can be interpreted either way.  A call to AT&T  resolved it for me.   I think if people were being charged,  there would be a Roar on this Discussion Board heard around the world.

Mary,  In reading the lines and in between them,  I have some question about the validity of your post.   However on the chance that it may be,   I would suggest that you request written Validation of the debt including a copy of the signed contract with the original owner of the debt and all pertinent information pertaining to the original debt,  copies of all activity on the debt including the last and final payment,  dates,   as well as proof of his legal right claim and collect the debt.  Get the name of the collection company,  physical as well as legal address,  local business phone number.   Do not admit guilt.  Just because they have information on you and your spouse,  it doesn't mean he has a right to collect or that you are guilty.  Most of that information can be gathered by anyone through a search on the internet.  Plus,  when the payday loan people sell their list of customers,  as they do for profit,  they provide much information.     Remember,  There is no debt legally collectable until it is proven and validated.   If this information is not provided,  he is violating the laws of the FDCPA and subject to a law suit.  The debt should be disputed.....Read all of the other posts here and then ask yourself if these people are on the up and up.   Then take the appropriate action.

Have received many phone calls in the past month and a half from 'Regional Arbitration Services' a Thomas Whittaker, (905) 581-5522 stating that I am a 'person of interest' (infering that I am wanted in the investigation of some criminal act). Then I get a call from Thomas Whittaker pertending to be someone else, there is no mistakeing the voice. Then today I receive a call from a Johnathan/Jonathen Stuart/Stewart (don't know which spelling he uses) telling me that he is coming to my house to serve me with a summons but if I want to settle this call them at this number 855-393-3793.  Well I called them (from a blocked number), and got a Shawn Walker  of  'Swanson, Walker Associates' I told him I had the wrong number, after reading all these report's on Scambook I am not speaking with anyone over the phone. I hope they come to my house, they may have the police waiting for them. (My career was a criminal investigator with the Co. of Sacramento, Ca.)  So, bring it on.
