- youknowitsfakewhen| 2 repliesUse the brains in your head and don't talk to these losers. Report them. The FBI wouldn't call you on the phone from a toll-free number, they'd just find you - because, well, they're the FBI.
- Mark M.| 5 repliesIt's Fingerhut calling because my bill is 3 days late. Not claiming to be the FBI. LOL

- Caller: Fingerhut
- ANNOYED| 3 repliesThey just called again saying I have an account with Fingerhut and owed them money. I have NEVER bought anything from them or had an account. This is the second call I have received in a week. They said they would stop calling because I was probably the wrong person. They told me before that I had a common name. BULL CRAP-they wanted my soc.sec.# and my address. I do not give any info!!!This is a SCAM!!!
- Caller: Fingerhut
- WolfmanJack replies to ANNOYEDThe problem today is that no one wants to do what is necessary to end their hassles. First, instead of talking to them over the phone which gets you nowhere, send them a certified, return receipt letter telling them that you do not have an account and that they must stop calling you. Then if they persist, sue them. Second, file complaints at the proper agencies and follow through on them:
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Made the payment just an over site however as for the previous comment about filing complaints with various agencies, I think that even if they themselves got telemarketer or spam calls in violation of the do not call list they wouldnt be competent enough to do something about it!!! LOL
- Caller: Fingerhut

- Lisa replies to S Myers| 1 replyI doubt it was actually you FingerHut account. i got called and have NEVER ordered from them.
- Mike G. replies to S MyersHope you mailed the payment and not given them a cc over the phone. Call Fingerhut but not with any number the caller gave you and check your account. They tried to call us and we have not bought anything from Fingerhut.
- BluesThey have been calling me for days, and they finally left a message stating it was Fingerhut. I answered one day, and she said I owed Fingerhut $189.00. I told her I hadn't bought anything from Fingerhut in years, that they had the wrong person. THEN SHE ASKED ME FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!! That's when I really got mad. I asked HER, "Are you kidding me? Do you have a brain in your head at all?? You think I am dumb enough to give you my S.S.N. to someone I don't even know?????" By that time she had hung up!! Idiots. I'm calling Fingerhut right now.
- Caller: Said they were Fingerhut.
- SamI received several calls but didn't answer. When they left a message stating they were Fingerhut, I answered. They said I was late on my account, then asked for my S.S.N. If they call again, I WILL give the last number of my S.S.N.: 6666. Just for fun.
- Caller: Said FINGERHUT
- Byron S| 2 repliesOn November 12, 2015, I received a call from 844-485-3204 about 1:10 PM. From unknown entity. Between that time and today November 13, 2015 at 9:30 AM. I received TWENTY TWO (22) Calls from this number.no one would say anything. They would just hang up. (I knew that Fingerhut had did this once more in the past,) so I called Fingerhut on from another phone number, at their 800-208-2500 number,a few minutes later and complained about the calls. The Female that had a Foreign accent admitted that they use People to call to collect debt. She stated that My $59:00 Monthly payment was over due. She was very hostile, I said "One Day!!!!" I am one day late on paying and they put the hounds out. She threatened to put a " Cease and Desist" on my account and start an immediate cancellation of credit and start a collection process, if I did not pay the $59:00 today November 13, 2015. I refused to give anything to her, but the last four digits of SS#. This has put a very bitter taste in my mouth about any future dealings with This Company.

I hear you. I "ceased and desisted" doing business with Fingerhut years ago after spending years faithfully paying off my account for overpriced merchandise I had bought from them. I was down to a $50 balance when my income evaporated due to job loss. As soon as my payment was late, they began blowing up my phone. I took the initiative and wrote them a letter explaining my situation, giving them every assurance that the balance was going to be paid off as soon as I received my income tax refund, which was due any day. Days later I received a rather nasty response, in which Fingerhut basically told me they did not "care" about my situation and they wanted their money NOW. That did it for me. As soon as I received my tax refund, I mailed them a check and closed my account. And, just three months ago, my sister purchased an expensive set of bed linens which has already torn up. She won't be buying anything else from them either, anytime soon. - JDCalls all the time and claims to be FBI, its in fact Fingerhut.
