I am being dogged by constant calls from this number.

No mystery here. AMC is a long-time NYC controlled 3rd tier debt collector specializing in medical related debts. The reason sometimes appears no one on is on the line is because they use--aa does virtually all soliciting entities--computer dialing that connects to a live operator only if answered by you! This takes 2-5 seconds especially as call center is in India.  Its always good to know what debt they are chasing, if you dont think its yours. But dont talk too much and consider legal action (per comments above) if they get too aggressive with robo-calls

Had 2 wrong calls from a local number then this 844-505-3328 called.

Called 3 times yesterday... ??

if back on 2008 statute of limitations should apply depending what state you are in

These guys were pretty persistent to collect a $25 fee that became $150 for a co-pay for a podiatrist I forgot about from 3 years ago because , well, because the doctor died and the practice closed.  Calm the hell down guys.  If I was a prick, the $50 going your way in our settlement could easily have been $1500 plus legal fees coming back my way via some equally slimy attorney I'd hire to pinch you for FDCPA violations.  Signed, a former collector.

thank you, i was wondering about these calls, 1-4 times a day.  I do have a bill from Labcorp and plan on paying it online.

I have been receiving numerous calls a day from these people. I looked up the number online.  It was difficult to find their company information, but finally found out that they are supposedly a Debt Collector Agency. I finally answered and said "hello" and heard nothing back. I said "hello" again and I waited a minute to receive a response and Nothing. I immediately figured that there was something fishy about this caller. When I googled the area code this warning came up about this number. The company is apparently being sued for being scammers.
I then called the number back (844-505-3328). I wanted to know WHO/WHAT this number was. A message with a British accent asks for your PIN number. If you don't have one they ask you to hold on. A woman came on line saying she was from American Medical and didn't give her name. I have never heard of these people. Nor do I do any business with them. I gave NO information. Just simply stated thy had been reported to all official depts.(for a reaction) She didn't try to explain who they were or why they were calling. They didn't apologize. Simply just weird BEWARE! My mentioning of the British Accent is to give additional details in order to make it easier for the next person to identify them.

I have received multiple phone calls after telling them to submit claims in writing.

This number keeps calling my phone. Like 2x a day.

A gentleman with a thick accent called asking for me and wouldn't tell me what the call was about until I identified myself. He's the one calling me, I have no obligation to identify myself. I told the caller that I thought this was a scam and that he should never call me again, and then proceeded to hang up.

The next time they call, demand a legitimate, physical mailing address in which to send a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. If they refuse, let them know your attorney will get this information for you and see them in court.

Very rude,  I recived a call from this number twice now,  they said I owed money for a lab bill. .. I told them to send me a bill seeing the dates provided I was not here, I have no outstanding bills and actually pay my bills on time but, if I did somehow missed it i would pay it as soon as I receive the bill. The woman on the line said ok,  so month later I get a call from a guy saying she gave me the wrong information they can't send a bill and has to be paid over the phone,  I told him no way am I giving you my credit card he proceeded to tell yell over me... I hung up... wow I hope it is a scam, a real company hopefully isn't as rude as them........
