They call me several times a day. Never leave a voicemail. I have Anthem and was one who was notified about the security breach. Not sure if it is connected or not, but thought I should report it here along with the others.

Have received calls and no message. Chatted with an indian man. He tried to make some arrangements and get my bank info. The settlement he was trying to create did not balance out to monies agreed. When I pointed this out he was aggressive and lost the call. Did not mention company he was calling on behalf of. Since when did the Medical business in US need to hired overseas collections. I believe this is fraud. Beware

Got them to tell me they were in India when I asked to speak to someone in the United States after they told me to that they were in India then they gave me the number 844-515-2622 still not telling me the name of the company

Got call answered no one on line so I hung up looked where call originated from didn't know  so I googled area code and this sight popped up well anyway thanks 4 info

I just got a call. I looked @ the number instantly new was bill collector etc. I said 'hello' nothing again 'hello' i waited a min. Nothing. I knew wasnt good. I immediately googled area code this warning came up abt this # being scammers. My debt is w/an attorney so no calls shld come in. I dont trust anyone calling idk no one should!!

Update: the # 844 505 3328 i called it back.I wanted to knw WHO/WHAT this # was.A msg w/a ? British accent asks for your pin#. If u dont hv 1 hang on. A woman came on line saying she American Medical'(no name) i hv never heard of these ppl. Nor do i do any business w/them. I gv NO info. Just simply stated thy had bn reported to all official depts.(for a reaction) She didnt try to explain who thy were apologize nothing. Simply just weird BEWARE! Btw-  my mention of british or any accent is NOT racist just making any details/similarities easier for the nxt person to identify. Thank you

I just got a call from this number. It is an attempt to collect a debt through a company called American Medical. They were collecting on a debt I owed from a couple of visits at Quest Diagnostic back in 2013. A English speaking man answered and let me know all of this information, what company they were collecting for and the dates of service. He also let me know my insurance had paid most of the bill but that a left over balance was still due because my insurance covered 80 % and the other 20% was my responsibility. Everything he said matched an old bill I received from Quest. I called Quest Diagnostic to confirm and they did sell my account to this agency. I am not sure why all of you have had bad experiences but this is a real collection agency.

I agree.  This is a collection agency calling.   They've just began calling me on a overdue account.  I never answer their calls though.  I never answer ANY call that i don't recognize the number of.     ALL collection agencies are the lowest of the low and therefore deserve whatever kind of crap people give them.  Report them to the authorities when they cross the line and do things they aren't permitted to do under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  Don't let these scumbags harass you with their threats.  Fight back.

Its american Medical.  If you have unpaid labs from LabCorp, that is probably why they are calling you.

They were clearly Indian when they called asking for my husband, they did not appreciate I accused them of running a scam. I didn't have to know what it was about, it just wasn't a professional businesses call. And my husband hasn't missed a payment in his life. So, total crap.

When representative got online, said they are in New York.

I have been called by this number a few times. The first time it was "Cambodia" and the most recent one was "Viet Nam". I have never ever answered calls from numbers I do not recognize or that start with an "800", "888", "844"...etc. The calls from these numbers never leave a voice mail. I just ignore them.

I  got the same call over a month ago. I am in no collection with anyone so I asked for the callers name, birthdate, nationality, SS#, etc. and was hung up on. Last week I received a poorly copied form letter from "American Medical" demanding my info or I would be sued. Laughed and put it thru shredder. No other attempt since.

I had Anthem from 1986 - 2007, but have been with a different carrier for 8 yrs. I've never had a problem with either of them but now I wonder if the Anthem breach went back that far.

They call usually while I'm at work. If they leave a message it sounds like they are outside (you can hear wind blowing Into the phone) and all they ever say is hello repeatedly. Annoying.

They do not leave a message or identify themselves. Just keep calling .

keep getting calls and they leave no message and when I tried to return call it said my international call couldn't be placed.
