Called my cell phone, did not leave voice mail

Someone from this number called my phone asking for my son. Which noone outside of family relates my son to my number, he uses his own number on any business deal he does. Wouldn't give me any information just said for me to have him to return his call at number on my screen, I told him it would be a long time before he could call him back, he said that was fine.  If it was a debt collector, why would he tell me that was fine or not ask what I meant by it would be a long time?? Or Why didn't he ask how long???? Strange call.

Its a debt collector. Ask for you to verify your birthday, I ask was he a debt collector, he said yes, I hung up.

Just got the same call for my son. Has a very important message for him ?????

Debt collection/process server extortion scam.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Called and left a message saying that he is a debt collector.  I have no debts for this person to collect.  It will be a cold day in July before I call this person back.

They called several times,but asked for someone else..even though my voice mail says my first name.. blocked

Debt Collector; seemed really sketchy though. Could not understand the name of company & he refused to repeat it.

Called and asked to speak to my two year old daughter. I said she was two and I was her mother and they stated she had some debt but would not say unless I gave them more information. I told them to not call back and that I would not be calling them back. He asked me to call back after I calmed down lol

Called ask for Robert I told them he doesn’t live here asked if I knew him I told him that was none of his business

Possible debt collector.  Called for my father who is in a nursing home. Said they wouldn't talk to me until after they speak to him. Ok, good luck with that then.  I am willing to pay his outstanding debts, but can't if you don't tell me about them.

Calls 4 times every day.

Called my job today and left a message saying that they had some wonderful news and that they were a debt collector.now I don't know how they got the number to my job.but it is on the do not call list.
