What a moron this guy is!!  I haven't answered any of the calls yet but I have considered it just to "play" with him.  First of all, debt collection is not a criminal matter so he cannot file criminal charges.  It is a civil matter.  In most cases, petitions filed with the court are served by the sheriff's department in the county in which the action is filed.  Other states may require service by special process since I am not sure of the laws in other states.  But in this state we only use process servers if the sheriff's dept could not find them or if we know ahead of time they are going to be difficult to find.  To use a process server, we have to get permission from the court.  In some cases, the person filing can even serve the papers themselves or have someone else do it for them.  In any case, they don't make threatening phone calls......they go out and find the person and serve the papers to them.  And another reason he is a moron...........if a case hasn't been filed yet there would be no process server involved.  He needs to get a new scam.......something he knows something about.

I just received the same message on my cell.  It was completely odd when I called the number back.  Even though I informed them that this is a new number for me and that I'm not the person they were attempting to reach, the man still kept calling by that woman's name and then when I'd correct him he'd say, "Hello, Denise" as if we'd just started the conversation and then he'd begin to refer to me by the other person's name.  I told him 3 times to remove me from the calling list and he continued to go back and forth calling me by name and then the other person's name.  He then just hung up.  Twisted and weird!  I added this number to my reject list just in case they continue to call.

Rec'd a call today and left the identical message as everyone else here.  Caller I.D. indicated "name not found" but did show a number of 844-704-5171 which happens to be the same number given if you want to inquire?!?

Have been receiving the same message for over a month now at least 2 or 3 times a week...And it is a business phone.  Scammers

Left a voice mail message: "Hi, my name is Jordon Marx (?) process server here.  I attempted to deliver some paperwork today unsuccessfully.  If you have any questions about this case pending you'd like to resolve the matter on voluntary terms, you can contact the filing party.  Their number is 844-704-5171.  

The message they play is a recording. I have received a few calls from them, and it is always exactly the same. My advice - ignore this call. They are not even worth a phone call to tell them to stop calling. They will eventually stop.

If you do want to call them, here are a few thing that I suggest you attempt:
1. Ask them for their address saying you want to send them a certified letter. I guarantee the response will be 'We don't accept mail'. At that point, I typically hang up, and call back in and ask the exact same thing. Make yourself as annoying to them as they are to you.

2. If they threaten to serve you papers, tell them you will be waiting at your doorstep for them. I again guarantee nothing will show up. This is a complete scare tactic. I typically tell them I would like papers, and can't wait for the opportunity to stand next to them in court.

These companies either run on complete scams, or they purchase debt that is noncollectable for pennies on the dollar, and try to scare people into paying. There are big bonuses for agents who collect the most money. Make yourself annoying to them, and they will move on to the next person.

Doing anything like the above will get them to stop calling. They ONLY work by trying to scare people into paying. If they see they are wasting their time with you, they WILL stop calling and move onto the next person.

they called my soon to be ex husband and told him I had two check fraud cases pending he said she don't live here and they said but your still married he said yes but going thru a divorce and they said but your together he said we haven't been together for awhile and they said "OH she is banging someone else, huh." and hung up sorry SOB where do they have any right to talk about me like that

Got a call today from Melissa Green. Asking to verify my address. She said she needed to serve papers to me regarding charges for fraud and false check something. I said ....you guys have been calling me for 2 years saying the same [***] over and over. I am still waiting for you to show up! She said ...you DO have charges against you and I will personally come to your front door to serve you. I said ....well come on. She said you will have to go to jail. I said....hell I have been there before.... so come on. Then I said. ...this [***] is all over the internet as a scam. I was screaming to her then. She hung up on me! Then she called right back and left a message saying....this is real. You DO have arrest warrants. You have officially been notified!
Ha Ha ha! I bet I have "officially" have been notified a dozen times over the last year. Nobody ever shows up. I knew this was a scam from the beginning since I have been getting calls for 2 years. They have even called my mother. Told her I was in SERIOUS trouble. Asked her to pay $550 to keep me from being arrested. Luckily she called me first. She thought it was real at first though. Such scum!!!
