- GabyI just received a call from the 212 however I didn't respond because I was not familiar with number. But they left a message saying it was Amy Hernandez blah blah blah....Glad I look up the number. Thanx for the heads up, I'm definitely not returning their call.
- lisa replies to TracyGot the exact same message. Thank you!

- Dale downtown replies to KristinaMyself is getting these calls, too. Or, should we say my wife and "I" are getting these calls, too. Or, "I" am getting these calls, myself. Like you, we aren't going to deal with stuff like this on the phone! Need to see something in writing first - something delivered through the US mail.
- AkidozoJust got the same call - a vague voice message regarding a "formal complaint" filed against me, that service of process is to be expected at my home or employer, and something about how I will need two forms of ID.
Back when I was still practicing law, I seem to recall that legal process can only be served on a defendant in one of several limited ways. Voice messages are not valid forms of process service in any jurisdiction as far as I am aware. Nor do any process servers I have utilized in the past give friendly "heads up" calls to defendants.
I'm guessing that if one calls the number Ms. Amy Hernandez leaves, you might get a request to provide some sort of proof of who you are - social security number, birthdate, mother's maiden name. Just the sort of information Russian identity theives pay good money for. Perhaps they might even ask for credit card information - account numbers, and so forth. Then I suppose they might demand payment of some fee - to close down the "formal complaint" that allegedly is being filed against you.
My approach: you want to sue me? Go right ahead! I can't wait hit back with a $1,000,000 counterclaim alleging wire fraud - which carries punitive as well as exemplary damages liability. Heck, I'd enjoy coming out of retirement just for the fun. I've got some time on my hands, and I'm even tempted to file a lawsuit on my own against Amy Hernandez, or whomever she may really be, as well as her employer. It is obvious that these calls are scams, wire fraud, serious stuff. Expensive stuff, too. I'll make up my mind later. - jpd replies to Molly| 1 replyI also got the same message today from 212-200-5070 an "Amy Hernandez" and got the same recording from the 5069 ext on Thursday. These scams can't collect on time barred debts I suggest ignoring them or else it could start the clock on the SOL again. However, I would like to report them to stop them in their tracks. I was successfully sued by one of these companies years ago because I was served to appear in court and I failed to respond by saying it was time barred. I later had a judgment for thousands more than the actual debt.
Anyone have a suggestion on best place to report these scumbags? Attorney Gen, FTC? - ddcI got exactly the same phone call. Delivering papers to my home or office, let my atty know, blah, blah, blah. Thank you everyone for posting, Safety in numbers !

- Rob replies to GaylaSame as other replies. I got a call from Amy Hernandez with this number. I have no bad debt either,so I suspected a scam. This confirms my suspicions! Thanks for putting this out there.
- Adamsgot the same message from Amy threatening a civil law suit. Papers would be sent to verify. Thought it was a scam.
- ToniSame as above! Life is too busy to deal with frustrating scams! Received a call from Amy Hernandez, 212-200-5070, was told to contact or have my attorney contact 844-712-2131. stating there is a delivery scheduled and they'll only make 2 attempts, make sure to have 2 forms of ID...SCAM

- NikkiI recieved a call yesterday and today june 12-13 from amy hernandez of cls and it was the in the 212 area code both times but the numbers were different.one was (212)200-5070 .then I was told to call J T and associates at 844-712-2131 and that someone had filed a prior complaint and that someone would be coming to my residence or job with legal documents and I would need 2 forms of ID and to contact a lawyer if I had any questions. When I called J T associates I recieved a message and when I called the 212 number my phone was just silent and hung up, it didn't even ring at all.
- Caller: cls
- BillSame experience as above. I just ignored it and entered the # into google and got here. Thanks to everyone else!!
- Caller: CLS
- MichelleSCAM!!! Also used phone number 212-200-5069. Same thing everyone else has said; Message left on my landline voicemail (pretty bold aren't we?!??) Called at least 4 times to our landline, a woman's voice left a message on our answering machine saying it was UPS (?) calling with important legal information, and that we needed two forms of ID in order to receive very important documents, or to have our attorney contact them. Dummies. Sure thing.
- danFlood their 844 # with phone calls to keep their lines busy. This will help to block their outgoing calls and all toll free numbers charge the receiving party for the time. So this should drive up their cost of buisness
- Caller: kt and associates ?
- Call type: Debt collector
- CocoCalled back after a robocall message said that we needed to call so papers could be served and we would need to have 2 forms of ID, then was transferred to another office, put on hold for 5 minutes and hung up. Then my husband called back and asked for Amy Hernandez, was told that she wasn't in this office and they needed our phone number. Husband asked to talk to Amy, since she called us and left a message about "papers being served" and lady hung up on us.
For what it's worth, we owe no one money, have no bad debts and excellent credit. Scam, but very anxiety-producing when they insinuate you're being transferred to the "litigation" department. Jerkwads.- Caller: "J&P Associates"

- Andi replies to TracyThanks for this. I just got this message and it was identical to yours.
