Carly, if you've run out of space to block numbers, you might consider a Call Blocker (check Amazon for the most popular ones).

There are different kinds, both hardware boxes and software:

• blacklist-only boxes, that stop only certain numbers or number/area code ranges from getting in; with these, your phone will ring a max of once for a blocked call; my blacklist box is at 795 of 1,200 possible blocked numbers;
• combination units with both whitelists (OK to call) + blacklists (blocked numbers), so all the businesses, friends, and family you want to let call you, can do so with no delay, while just the bad ones are kept out;
• hybrid units that have blacklists and whitelists PLUS everyone new is asked to push a random button, then say their name, which is recorded to announce to you. This last step will thwart all the robocalls, since one cannot respond to push a random button, and even some humans, because most telemarketers won't want to be announced. New callers that make it through are manually put on the whitelist or blacklist, as you see fit.
• there are online services (which I can't name here);
• forwarding and filtering services with semi-intelligent software to waste a telemarketer's time (i.e. It's Lenny), and
• software you run on your computer (phone line connected to an old modem), which looks up numbers on-the-fly and shares lists of bad callers with others, plays custom messages to telemarketers, and more.

Research or survey calls are legal as long as they do not lead into a sales call.  Therefore your report to the FCC and FTC was useless as these are not illegal calls.  You should always read the directions.

Received one call from this number, did not answer as number was not recognizable. Voice mail was left. Pure silence for about 7 seconds, followed by, frankly, a sexual grunt, and a hang up.

Called during dinner.  Googled after dinner and see that they are just an annoying group.  Blocked their number

Its 9.20pm ans these fools call, I always thought it was illegal to call after 9. I never answer a number I dont know but its so annoying. I have tried blocking numbers, I have a landline and I must be doing something wrong as I still get same numbers calling, Im beginning to wish I didnt have a phone, should get a cell dont know if they harass a person the same way

ROBO HARRASSMENT

ProMark Research on market survey.. First I thanked them for calling as ProMark Research is spread all over the internet as being rude and keeps calling people multiple times in order to punish them. Told her I was wondering when I would get the call as I felt left out. She said that wasn't them. I gave her their address on Sawdust Road in The Woodlands, Texas. (surprised her)
Anyway I asked why she was calling at 7:45pm and she said they were doing a market survey on colleges in my area. Told her I've been out of college for 3o years and no intention of going back,
She hung up on me. Never asked a question. I felt I was a waste of her time. lololol

Called 2 times today and my number is on the Do Not Call list. Very annoying
