- Las Vegas Resident| 1 replyLike many others who have posted here, my number is registered on the Do Not Call List. Repeated calls at inconvenient times of day...like others here, calls came to landline...up until 9 p.m. Spoke with 2 callers from this company...Michael and Vivian...who confirmed the name of the company and the purpose of the call..(polling registered voters was what both callers said). I told them both that I do not have a business relationship with their company/organization and to please remove my number from their lists and to stop calling. Should the calls not stop, I will register a complaint with the FCC.
- Caller: Promark Research
- Call type: Political call
- BigA replies to Las Vegas ResidentNo one has a "business relationship" with a survey company. However the calls are not illegal. Telemarketers (selling things), debt collectors, political calls, and informative calls can legally be made between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm your time as per federal law. So that means they are legal between those time unless your state law says differently. Surveys, which is what this is, are not regulated. Maybe you should have read the directions when signing up for the DNC?
What the Do Not Call lists covers and doesn’t cover and why: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registryQuote:If I register my number, will ALL unwanted calls stop?
No, the Do Not Call Registry prohibits sales calls. You still may receive political calls, charitable calls, debt collection calls, informational calls, and telephone survey calls.
In addition, companies may still call if you’ve recently done business with the company, or if you’ve given the company written permission to call you. However, if you ask a company not to call you again, it must honor your request. Record the date of your request - BettyJust got a call from them a couple of minutes ago. The man said that he was conducting a survey and asked me if I was (My name), I hung up.

- BigA replies to Ms VeeIf you are on the DNC, then you should know that research surveys are not required to scrub their call lists. It was clearly explained at that site.

They didn’t leave voicemail.
Seeing that it’s a survey, I think I’ll answer it if they call back and give them the most bogus answers I can. Why not mess with them if they want to call and harass people that late at night?
