spam caller. calls one a week no message

It is Nelnet

Got call from this number on my business phone. Did not leave a message. It Can't be that nelnet place because I have no student loan. No one in my family has ever had student loans. It has got to be a scammer.

I don't have any student loans but I'm getting these calls

I received a missed call from this number, but the caller left no voicemail message.  I had a student loan serviced by Nelnet until two years ago, so when I saw so many sites claiming this number belonged to Nelnet, I called Nelnet using the phone number on the actual Nelnet web site.  After confirming that Nelnet had no reason to contact me, the representative confirmed that this number is not a Nelnet phone number and that Nelnet is aware of these scams.  Blocked.

A representative at Nelnet says this is not one of their phone numbers.

Note: Same company is calling you from 844-801-9992.  Number's on this site as well.

She got the call and listened to what they had to say. Pay attention.

This isn't a scam. It is NelNet. I have a student loan and they are calling me about my student loan.

I keep getting this number calling me, also. They never leave a voicemail. If it was actually a loan department, they have a script that they gave to read for voicemail messages, by state law. I never pick up calls on numbers that I'm not familiar with.

They call and when i answer they hang up! No student loans here!

I do not owe any student loans and I have had this number for years. This is the first time they called me.  844-801-9993... I have blocked the number.

I got this call today, but hung up bc I chose to contact Nelnet directly. I WOULD NeVEr MAKE A PAYMENT OVER  THE PHONE TO AN INBOUND CALLER!! EVEN GIVING YOUR BIRTHDAY ALLOWS THEM TO FIND YOUR INFO EASIER!

It’s regarding student loans in my case. Could possibly be other debts.

It's not nelnet

844 is not an area code. It's Africans jacking numbers and the automated message of nelnet.

You got scammed the automated message got you and not your info iso in Africa.

No it wasn't. The automated message gets you. After a while it will switch to the actual nelnet people who have no idea who's number call you.

IT IS A SCAM,  YOU GOT SCREWED by the automated message. 844 isn't and area code and the African scammers used the actual nelnet message to trick you and if you don't enter your account or security number it will eventually switch over to the actual Nelnet and they won't know what you're talking about. Check your info.
