Most likely some sort of debt collection scam.  Ignore and block the number.  Do not call them back.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

So you all think its a scam? Why don't you just pay back your loan? I paid a debt with them for a payday loan I took out and I paid them less than my loan was and they worked with me and understood that I get paid minimum wage and pay bills and have kids. They are very friendly and caring and worked with me. They also worked with me and let me do 4 different payments. And after I finished all my payments they send me a paid in full letter and now whenever I get a call about this debt I fax them my letter and they leave me alone. So this isnt a scam, its a legitimate company.

A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed - US Mail ... not emailed or texted]

    Source:
    https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via Green Dot, MoneyGram, Western Union, prepaid gift card or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

IF you wish to communicate with the supposed collector / creditor, visit  the following page, for example "Action Letters" to snailmail:
    http://www.consumerfinance.gov/blog/debtcollection/

If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors

They worked with you and they also worked with you? Wow, that's a lot of working with you.
By the way, why didn't YOU just pay back your loan? You know, to the company to took the loan out from, the one who mailed you requests for payment per the law. Did THIS company mail you proof they could legally collect on this loan or did you just pay them because they called & claimed you owed them money?
By the way, what's the legal name and business address of this company you say is "very friendly and caring"? It's right there, on the PIF letter you claim they sent you.

    Hi "smashley<3"

So, a voice on the phone demands that you pay them, and you just do, right?  Based on the other posts, these people appear to be criminals, and you most certainly are a shill.  Too bad you never finished school, nor obtained a GED, how is that working out for you?  You live in poverty, and you always will. Your children are bound to repeat the same cycle. Illiteracy and shilling go hand in hand here.

"un paid pay day loans that you didn't pay back"? As opposed to what - the unpaid pay day loans I did pay back? Typical shill, can't write worth a darn.

Would that be Feingold & Associates - you know - the personal injury law firm or the architectural firm??  Neither have anything to do with deadbeats who do not pay their bills.

    Sam Telesco
Ok everyone, please relax. My name is Sam Telesco and I own the office. We collect on debt that we stole from other people or acquired through drug dealers for little to no money. I have a horrible drug problem and need to make as much money through the scam that I call Finegold and Associates, which I made up when I was on heavy drugs. I hope you all believe us when we say we are attorneys, but the fact is... most of us are high school drop outs with zero education. So please pay us and we will be sure to kick out a paid letter after we scam you. Then please do me a favor and call the NYS Attorney General and tell them my name and what Im doing, they love to keep tabs on me. Again I am the owner, and run the "Money Team".

    -Happy Holidays
