Hi, this is Juan calling from Worldwide Notification Services. Worldwide Notification Services is a telecommunication service used by other contests (?) to notify consumers on their behalf. I had made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name within the last 12 to 18 months to receive a new car. This is our final attempt to notify you that your name was pulled. We are going to award one of our top 4 major prizes. It would be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 1-844-867-4077 ext 124. We are not a telemarketing agency and this is not a cold call so please make ??? attempt. I am very aware of the Do Not Call List so I would not be calling unless you actually entered. This is time sensitive matter. I do look forward to hearing from you. Once again, Congratulations. My name is Juan.- Caller: FESTIVA
- T~MacMy 16yr old got a call on his mobile phone from a caller that began to inform him he'd won a prize... My son ask me if I had signed him for some contest. I took the phone and asked who was calling; gent on the other end got an attitude with me and I informed in my military manner... Who are you and what do you want with my son. He then retreated and asked if he was of age... I said no and he apologized they made mistake.
I called the number and got automated instructions to dial the extention of my party...no name of the establishment or nothing that allowed my to determine who they were...
My son is the second (II) so perhaps by name only they pulled his number assuming he was me. Either way THIS IS A SCAM....NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE!
They really need to increase the penalty for scamming to death... People's lives have been destroyed because a Son of "B"does want to earn a honest living...- Caller: Never Stated
- MaryI got the same call

- Concerned IndividualIn researching information on this company, I found it to be a total scam. I call 844-867-4077, ext: 125 and spoke with a woman (Avonda) who claimed that my friend (who asked me to research it) had won one of 3 prizes but he would need to drive to 162 Industrial Drive, Oxford AL to collect the prize.
I did a Google map on the address before calling Avonda and found the address was tied to a company called Bobcat of Oxford. Upon calling Avonda, I told her that the address was tied to a different company and that the company name was for another company based out of Carrollton, GA---she said that they were located next door to Bobcat of Oxford. She seemed a little agitated as I began questioning the legitimacy of her company. After her failed attempts to satisfy my curiosity, I told her that her company was a smoke screen for a bigger scam, bid her good bye and call Bobcat of Oxford to see if they were really located next door.
According to the Bobcat of Oxford company (256-831-1870), they moved locations 6 months ago. They are now located in Atlanta, GA. People, this is a scam---do not drive to Alabama----this could be a vacant building and you could end up in a very bad position; especially of you’re coming in from another state for that.- Caller: Superior International

- Hal Hume| 3 repliesUnsolicited call from 844 867-4077 indicating that I had submitted a form for a free automobile and that I was one of the finalists. The called identified herself as "Juan" a male name and indicated that his/her extension was 124. It was also indicated that earlier calls were made without a response (highly possible). Also indicated that they were aware of the "Do Not Call List" and that they were not a telemarketer.
No such form has been completed and a scam of some form is suspected and as is widely known the caller is from a profession of a stature less than the "worlds oldest profession".- Caller: Consumer Notification Services

- Annette| 1 replySame message, different number, from 844-273-4600.
There is a message, virtually word for word to that received by Anonymous - ATL on 14 Mar 2014, on my answering machine. "William" informed me that I had won one of the top three prizes in a drawing for a car after entering a sweepstakes for a car.
The last time I entered a sweepstakes of any kind was 15 or 20 years ago. Long time to wait for a prize notification ...- Caller: Worldwide Notifications
- Richard| 2 repliesI received the same telemarketing scam. When I called the number 844-867-4077 as instructed, I was asked to supply my first and last name by a woman who identified herself as Gloria. She said her boss was the one who called me (that must have been Juan) and the only way she could tell me why he was calling is if I provided her with my last name. She said I entered a contest 12 to 18 months ago to receive a brand new automobile. Apparently, my entry form had been selected and I would receive a “scratch-off ticket”. She added that I am guaranteed to receive a new Chevy Equinox or 25 thousand in cash. I could possibly receive a three-day, two-night hotel stay at a Marriott or similar hotel with two round trip airline tickets. The final gift is a 42” flat screen TV (not a plasma). She said I did not have to “buy, sign or join anything to receive my gift.” She added this was not a time-share. She told me to grab a pen and paper so I could write down my claim number and the address where I would pickup my prize.
Gloria said there was only one obligation and that was her company’s right to publicize my name in case I win the car or the cash. If I decline to give them permission to use my name, I forfeited the chance to claim any prize.
When I asked her to supply me with her company’s name she abruptly switched gears and said the name of the company that would be giving me the actual gift is named “Superior” and they were located at 162 Industrial Drive Extension, Oxford Alabama. I was told I must pickup my gift at 6:00 PM the same evening. She enticed me to arrive 10-15 minutes early by offering me a bonus gift of a $25 Visa gift card. “You’re picking up the actual gift. This is not a chance; it’s not a maybe situation. Can you pick up one of the three at 6:00 with that claim number?”
The rhetoric continued. “We’re not here to waste your time. A waste of your time is a waste of our company’s time. We can’t afford to waste time or money.”
When I said I didn’t recall entering any contest she said, “You’re human and I’m human and we tend to forget things when it’s done such a long time back.” She said the entry form was filled out at a shopping mall, festival or sporting event 12 to 18 months ago. Then she said I had indicated I was married and the combined household income is at least 45k. I am not married so I do not have a combined income that meets those criteria.
The originating phone number is listed as 708-515-9471 and the caller ID places it in Illinois. When I call this number it rings a few times and then an automated message announces "Goodbye" and the call disconnects.
Gloria claimed her company records the phone calls for the customer’s protection as well as her job security. If they conveniently lose their copy of the recording I will be happy to supply them with one.- Caller: Worldwide Notification Center

- MelanieI, too received this message from "Worldwide Notification Services" when I called the number, the recording didn't state the name of the company; simply that the call was being monitored. However, my caller ID listed the name as "Festiva" with a Homewood, IL number: 708-856-0857; after further research the IL number came up with the names: Steven C. Nalls; Shelley Nalls; Josh C. Warnell; Stephen C. Warnell and Shelley H. Warnell. Something in these escapade doesn't check out... anyone else have anything further?

- Juan Worldwide Notification Services replies to Anonymous - ATL| 3 repliesWe live in a time of information. Unfortunately the internet is not always an accurate source especially when it's is not being governed. We are a telecommunication service that contact consumers for varies reasons. Mostly some type of advertisement/ promotion. With respect to the caller ID my phone company places the name but your phone company only updated their records every 30 days. So if the number has not been updated with your company it will read what they record had last. The gifts are actually being given away because this is how the company attracts consumers to do business and future business with them. Our services reach out to millions of people per year. I hope this helps you and other readers
- Sir Bedevere replies to Juan Worldwide Notification Services| 1 replyThe Caller ID is not inaccurate because the phone company only updates its records every 30 days, it's inaccurate because scammers spoof their Caller ID information to make their calls appear to be originating from elsewhere. This makes tracking by irate consumers and law enforcement agencies difficult. Which is precisely the goal.
You cannot win a contest you didn't enter. It is illegal for contests to require *any* remuneration (tax, shipping, "service charges", etc.) for claiming a prize in a contest. - Juan replies to Inquiring Mind| 1 replyGreat question. Please contact your phone company with the phone number on your caller ID and ask them to do an up date of their records. Once they do an update the caller ID will read accurate. Anytime a number is issued it will show the information of who the phone numbers belonged too prior. Your carrier only updated their records every 30 days. Once they update their records the caller ID will read the correct name.
- Juan replies to Hal Hume| 1 replyWow. If you had taken the time to call back and inquire you would have been fully aware of the call. No scam. The entries are completed at varies events and to name a few: shopping malls, fast food restaurants, Festivals and sporting events, golf shows, bridal shows, garden shows, auto shows. No one is winning anything THEY ARE RECIEVING the gifts as a form of promoting and advertising. I hope this helps you and the other readers
