I received  another harrassing call from a so called scam artist who claims that there is a summons for me.  The caller identified himself as a Patrick Noland with GRS Associates, I tried Googling this information and couldn't find anything to be legit. His number didn't show up on my caller ID, only showed up as "Unknown Caller".  However, he did leave the number 844-874-2599 for me to call back.

Same here, only the name used was Ashley Green... didn't leave any info other than she had a 'summons' on her desk... They must have a new call-back number..

Received multiple calls starting two weeks ago by a person by the name of Joshua Davis and an Amanda something. They call on a different person's cell phone number that had no contact with when they claim I had a loan taken out. They threaten me to come to my house and place of employment. When i am on the phone with them they put me on hold and you hear music plus people talking in the back ground. Seems to be very unprofessional .

Got this automated call looking for someone else. Threatened to serve this person at place of employment. No "this is an attempt to collect a debt etc" was ever said. Cant connect to anyone. No valid phone nmbr for them. Lawsuit being filed supposedly. Used a local number for caller id. Obviously they are not valid debt collectors. They break laws. I'd advise recording the messages and giving them to am atty to sue them.

I received a recorded call today from an Amanda Klein for a family member stating that this said family member gave them my phone number and that she was living with me.  Neither is true.  It is called technology where they can look up your number and get your info.  Has anyone filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office?  To say the least this woman got her butt handed to her by me.  Also stated I would be summons to court and I could continue to get these calls.

Its a scam. I called my court house and I do not have any lawsuit filed against me. Called the better business bureau also and they said its a scam but since I do not have an address I can not report it because all they would give me is a toll free number.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

If the bankruptcy is in progress or complete, then all creditors should have been notified by your attorney who would then be dealing with them on your behalf.  The difficulty arises when your past due account has been turned over to a collection agency that you were not aware of at the time you began bankruptcy proceedings.  Contact your bankruptcy attorney and provide as much information on the person/collection firm calling you as you can.  They won't take your word on anything but a good lawyer can get them to stop or even sue them if they persist on a debt discharged via bankruptcy.

I am getting harrassing calls from an Amanda Klein she called my sisters house who is in a totally different state than me and left a message saying I was going to be summons and that they would come to my job and arrest me. I know it complete BS, but I am under bankruptcy and it's against the law for these people to call me and especially to leave a message to a 3rd party like that. These people need to be sued and turned in for harrassment. When I google the phone number they left for me there are all kinds of complaints saying that they are scamming people for their credit card information. Their phone number is 844-874-2599. They claim to be with a company called GLS & Associates, but when I google the company I find nothing on it.

Received 4 threatening auto calls unknown name on caller id.  Amanda, Jeffery Kline also a caller named Joshua Davis stating there are papers requiring signing. That a lawsuit is pending against my son. Conpany suing is GLS or GRS Associates. To call them at 844-874-2599 to resolve. As he will be served at his home or work in 72 hours. Never heard or received any mail from them. I called the attorney generals scam line and the BBB and they confirmed this is a overseas scam. They said don't return the calls because you will be charged a huge fee. Attorney General's office said do NOT responsed to them.

i am receiving multiple calls with the caller id of 801-614-8239, the calls are to a woman i have never heard of saying she is in violation of some usc title code 18 sec. 1344, she needs to call 844-874-2599 to keep them from talking to her work, it sounds as if she has a warrant or summons out for her, in reading the post on this page, not many get a caller id. hope someone can trace this one back to the 801- number.  has to be some kind of scam, i have had these calls to someone else's name for a long time, i called back once to report they had the wrong number but the calls have never quit.
