A collections letter came in the mail today from this company.

Received a call about a claim against me. Wanted me to verify my s s #. They refused to tell me anything about their company unless I gave my s s #.

I called and asked what was going on and they asked for the last 4 digits of my cell number.  Then they asked if my name was Augustine?  I said no and they apologized and said they would remove my number from their files.  They weren't rude or anything.  I feel better now.

I was called by Rush Processing in reference to being served on a claim.   When I explained that I had to idea what the caller was talking about, I was given this number to call along with a claim number.   This number connects you to "TCG & Associates" who do not provide any detailed information other than dollar amounts on a collection.   Sounds like a scam as they referenced an account I closed 12 years ago.  Google results for TCG & Associates comes up blank...

Refusing to give company information upon your request is a violation of the FDCPA - and since you could not find any information on that "company" says a lot about their credibility.  IF you were actually getting served, you would NOT be warned.  Think SCAM and illegal scare tactic.

These people are jumping on the van wagon of scaring you to pay money like is being done from India were they act like they are the irs and the police is coming right now to the victims home to arrest the victim. Don't give any information but report them to bbb

caller id showed NC call, said name was Suzie Reynolds for Rush and I had a claim against me and to call back to this number.  needless to say, I didn't call back

If you call that number they ID themselves as TCG and Associates, supposedly out of Claremont, California. Claim to be a law firm.   No other information will they give me.  Clearly some sort of debt collection scam.  Ignore and block the calls.

This is the same scammers from JP and Associates, they just changed their name.  There is a statute of limitations on bad debt. These places just buy old debt binders for fractions of pennies on the dollar and hope that someone falls for it.  Yes, they may now own your OLD bad debt from a very long time ago, but LEGALLY they have no standing to bring action against you if the statute of limitations has run out, (as in my case).

I just got a call on my home phone asking if I will be home because I will be served with legal documents.  I asked what it was for and they told me to call 1844 883-8107 Rush Processing.  I called and it was  TCG & Associates claiming I hat a T Mobile unpaid account.  The alleged account was activated in 2003 and payment was stopped in 2005.  They alleged that they are suing me and taking me to court and that the account went idle in 2013.  If this was true statues of limitations is 2 years and we are in 2017! NO KNOWLEDGE OF SUCH ACCOUNT....I can prove I was with AT & T at the time and currently with Verizon.  Everyone who has posted here seems to have the same exact issue with this fraudulent company which is practicing illegal intimidation tactics.  There needs to be a class action suit filed against them from all of us to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.
