BS call from AT&T trying to get me to switch services. Have no use for AT&T whatsoever. SCAM!!

Courtesy call from AT&T and Direct TV. When the heavy indian accent said "As I am already a AT&T and Direct TV user" I knew it was a scam as I have neither. Called the number back and it connects to a phone tree claiming to be from AT&T. Now blocked.

Claims to be from AT&T/DirecTV, offering me a discounted rate on my upcoming bills if I pay ahead of time with eBay gift cards.  Obviously a scam, as I don't have AT&T/DirecTV and paying with eBay gift cards is not a proper form of payment for a real company.

Phony DirecTV scam from India asking to be pre-paid with an ebay gift card or a Green Dot credit card. Get lost.

Thanks for your post. I thought it was a scam,even though I am getting Direct TV next week. Green Dot cards or gift cards for advance payment are a definite scam ! There's also a Census phishing scam going around !

Yes. A very sophisticated scam, but a true scam. The used to ask for an Amazon gift card but now it sounds like they want an Ebay one.

No message didn’t pick up

Tried to scam me too.

Number calls repeatedly and hangs up when they get answering machine.  Googled number and it is ATT, who is WORST company ever.  Side note, I never pick up a number calling if I do not recognize it.  I figure if it's imprtant they will leave a message.  ATT, take off.

Based on other recent posts for this number, it appears to be a scam operation spoofing one of AT&T's numbers and not actually AT&T.

From my own past experience with them, I agree with your assessment of the real AT&T.
