Scam call for a car warranty: call this number to be removed from their calling list.

Caller ID originally noted OHIO CALL. A message was left from # 216-279-0406: "final call before we close out your file". "Press 1 to extend or reinstate your car's warranty" "press 2 to be put on our do not call list". This was followed by "we are calling from automotive services, if you would like to be removed from our calling list please call toll-free: 844-989-1708. No call was returned. These are scammers collecting active phone #'s for adding to calling lists for subsequent sales. I figure just by my screening calls using an answering machine actually gives them a head start.

Received a voicemail that mirrors exactly what was reported previously.  I’m sure it is a scam.

Received a call about extending my car warranty. Never had one for this car. I will not call any number to be removed from any list. This is a scam to get active phone numbers. There was no caller ID number which was odd but not surprising.

Got this same bogus removal number from a car warranty spam call from Morgantown, WV = 304-398-7374

Got this same bogus removal message & number regarding a car warranty scam call from La Crescenta, CA = 818-797-9074.  Both numbers have been blocked and forgotten…

A stupid phone scam as usual!

Got this same bogus removal number from a car warranty spam call from Dover, CO 720-712-1048

Received a robocall voicemail from number number 567-234-2552 (Berlin Heights) about "... extended warranty. Since we have not gotten a response. We are giving you a final courtesy call before we close out your file. Press 2 to be removed to be put on our do not call list. Press 1 to speak to a someone to possibly extending or reinstating your car's warranty. Again, press 1 to speak to warranty specialist." Then a more robotic voice adds, "We are calling from automotive services. If you would like to be removed from our calling list please call toll-free 844-989-1708."

Robocall voicemail about car extended warranties from number 316-542-6108. Number provided in robocall to call is 844-989-1708 to be removed from call list. Report the number to the FTC.gov and DoNotCall.gov complaint sites.

Number appears to be another Peerless Network VOIP number or could be spoofed using an app/kit. Another number to block on your phone/systems people.

Pretty much the same as others have noted.  Caller id for me was Jewell OH.
Press nothing, never call back.

The same as others users...extended warranty....my car is from 2002, and the warranty is more than expired!
Scam call, they called me multiple times...and as always I turned off the call, other times they leave me the same message in my voice mail.

(727) 477-3676 called 26 Feb 2020 cell with regular recorded robocall telling listener about Extended Auto Warranty. Must call back at 844-989-1708 to get off of call list.  Also calls from 585-501-9791, 954-388-3101, 209-255-0122, 717-931-5702, 316-542-6108, 567-234-2552, 720-712-1048, 216-279-0406, 304-398-7374, 818-797-9074 .

"Press 1 to extend or reinstate your car's warranty" "press 2 to be put on our do not call list". This was followed by "we are calling from automotive services, if you would like to be removed from our calling list please call toll-free: 844-989-1708. Did not call back opt out.

A message on the answering machine to call 844-989-1708 to be put on do not call list. Does any one know how to contact these people ?
