- MrsPsquared| 1 replyThis # has called several times over the past few days. We don't know anyone in Lake Forest, IL although we actually are from Chicago. The reverse look up site attributes this number to Wm. K. Platt MD....so...not sure what that's all about but I will definitely answer the next time and see

- Kim| 2 repliesGot a call from a 'microsoft tech' who said my computer was sending errors. I played along as far as letting him take over my computer (by following on Google what I should be seeing so I could report it back to him). Then I said, "Before we proceed, do you believe in God?" He said, "Yes, ma'am, I do." I said, "In your religion is it a sin to lie and to steal?" And he said, "Yes, ma'am it is." I said, "Do you know God is watching you right now?" And he said, "He's watching you, too." I said, "Yes, but I'm not lying and sinning. You are." He hung up. Hahahaha! Go and sin no more! :D
- Caller: "Microsoft"
- DianeNo answer. Junk call.

- GerryWe rec'd multiple calls from 847-234-9229 before I finally answered one. There was a woman on the other end of the line speaking very slowly, in broken English. She said she was calling from Microsoft, and my computer was sending error messages.
I asked what made her think I owned a Windows computer...that was the end of the call, as she hung up...- Caller: Platt Wm K
- JayGot a call, said hello twice, whoever called simply hung up without response. Called back and got a rapid busy signal, meaning the line had been quickly disconnected so no return calls could be made. A deliberate false advertiser, had they had any advertisement. I have been getting daily calls from 847-234-xxxx numbers lately for a month now, so I know it's a scam and spam company using a phone number proxy that somehow got my phone number. What I'd like to do is see that the FBI cracks down on public nuisances like this. I want to know how my private number is being acquired by these entities, I want to know where they live, how much income they have, and what assets of theirs I can take for attempting to steal mine via identity theft if I am dumb enough to give them my info, or through robbing my home if I am stupid enough to reveal my address and details of my home security to them.
My phone is used for business, it is not a toy. Lost time dealing with prankers is lost money, and frustration with having my time interrupted raises my stress level and causes fluctuations in my job performance. We have all these advances in telephone technology, plus the Patriot Act and the NSA Boogeyman, yet we still do not have public access to a fully functional caller ID system that lets us know when we're being crank called. Why is this? Who is being served if not the customer and private citizen who does the work and makes the society function?- Call type: Prank
- HarassedThis person has been calling my home 4 times at least per day! Finally answered said she was calling from Microsoft and they had been getting information about my pc...I hung up...
- Caller: Wm K Platt
- SamSCAM... Indian window services..
- DesmondsOmaThis number was calling several times a day and evening. I didn't pick up. But it was getting so annoying, I finally did pick up and there was no one on the other end. I said "HELLO" 3 times. My rule of thumb. If you have caller ID: If you don't recognize the number, don't pick it up. If the call appears as a private number or blocked call, don't pick it up. If they don't leave a message, it must not be important. In the mean time, to who and how do we actually report these numbers to?
- natkeonThis number has called my house daily for the past 10 days. Mostly we just let it ring. No one answers when we pick up.
- Call type: Prank
- Patti LongerbeamSeveral calls from this number. Woman speaking in broken English claims to be a representative of Microsoft and my computer is sending error codes to the Microsoft satellite. She said anytime I am on line, my computer is automatically downloading malicious programing and that my computer will crash at any time. She repeated some supposed ID for my computer and said they needed to access my computer to fix the problem while she was on the phone. I asked for her Microsoft employee ID number, she didn't reply, I hung up.
- Caller: claimed to be Microsoft
