The easy way to stop these calls is to invest in CPR Call blocker. This scammer tried to call me but before he got through...bam it the block now.....no more calls from this scammer......

Nobody answers and they call 5-6 times a day!

This person has been calling a lot answered the phone today saying he was from Windows & he had gotten a report that a lot of malicious software etc had been downloaded in to my computer. I played along with him till I was asked to turn on my computer. Then I told him a few words & told him to get a life.

Don't ever fallow this conversation. My friend did it and they convinced him that he has very dangerous virus and he let them go into his all computers, Windows XP, Windows 10 and Galaxy Tablet 3 and they lack them permanently. Now someone from this number is calling him 3 times a day asking to pay $200 to unlock computers and tablet.

call yesterday with just the number, call today with the name Platt, W.F. just got a call from an 888' ...no message. Unfortunately I have hit the max of 25 on my Comcast phone screening option

They just called me in North Carolina. I let it roll to the answering machine and they left no message. Now blocked.

Called about my computer being hacked numerous times, said they were from Windows support.

Caller from this number claimed to be microsoft and that there was a problem inside my operating system.
Hung up, but kept calling and harassing me about my computer because I told them they were a scam and going to be reported.

Windows service call saying my computer may be infected with a virus. I asked him where he was located and his work phone number. He told me he was in Los Angeles, Ca. and his phone number was 213-454-0535. Thought about calling just for the heck of it, but didn't. Asked to speak to his supervisor and someone else got on the line and tried giving me the same shpeil so I asked him for his street address so I could send the police. He mumbled something and hung up. I like playing with this guys once in awhile. The only reason I answered is because I thought it might be someone I know in Illinois.

Google search showed "Wm, Platt"; don't know who that is.  They called 4 times today, we didn't answer.

You can DO MORE!  Go to Amazon and purchase a device that can block entire area codes!  These CRIMINALS can change numbers all they like but if they call from the 847 area code, they are blocked!

The "you have a virus" SCAM has been around for over 20 years - wise up!
Please go to Costco or Amazon and purchase a Panasonic phone that blocks 250 full telephone numbers.  Also, consider the digi tone blocker that can block entire area codes.  Have friends or family in a blocked area code?  Simply "invite" their phone number into the area code blocker.  Currently, we have over 260 area codes blocked including the 847 area code.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Yet another in the long history of "Windows Support" scammers - with a new spoofed number.
Criminal scum in foreign countries calling through the internet spoofing a fake US phone number trying to scam your credit card to 'fix' your computer.
This one was 'Patricia Hernandez' - and had a hispanic accent instead of the usual Indian accent.
When I have the time I sometimes 'play' with these scum and see if I can waste their time and annoy them before giving them the 'bad Karma for lying thieves' lecture - but Patricia hung up after just a few simple questions - how boring.

Alledged tech reporting problems with my computer. Got him off script by asking if I could turn on my webcam so I could see who I was talking to. When he agreed I told him I now had his photo to forward to the authorities and hung up.

It happened to me. I ignore the numerous calls from this same # n finally I pick up n a man introduce himself as a Microsoft agent n asks me if I'm the person who uses the computer but I said no it's my sister . He said oh no no no mam n he hang up. I think it's a scam.
