- M.A. in NYSJust got a call from this number but I didn't get to the phone in time. I'm keeping a list of numbers. It said on call ID about this William K Platt who I see on other websites has an MD. Looked up the doc which has a slightly different phone number which went to a fax. Then I looked up on the state of Illinois website that the doctor's license expired in 2014 and has not been renewed. Then I used my other source, Dr Platt would be 80 years old, so obviously retired. Obviously medical office no longer in business
- Paula| 1 replyReceiving the same annoying call. I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize.
- Caller: William K Platt (fake id)
- Paula replies to Paula2nd call today
- ElzThis guy called and said he's from Microsoft, and our computer's been sending error message to them so he's tying to "help us" by guiding us through, and he wants our computer number and stuff. When I said we won't give it over the phone he threatens us that he'll lock our computer so we won't be able to use it. We're in California.
- hmn miamiReceived a call at 10:55 pm. No immediate response when I picked up and they called back again at 11:00 pm.
- ScamBusterThese fake Microsoft technicians can be exposed by asking them a couple of questions about the company. Like: "Where is the headquarters for Microsoft?" (Redmond, WA) or "Who is the CEO of Microsoft and what country is he from?" (Satya Nadella and, ironically, he is from India.) LOL
They should know these things if they work for Microsoft. (- Caller: Microsoft? (NOT!!)
- Dangot a call but did not pick up, they hung up.
- I do not answer my phone leave a messageIn spite of the fact that I am registered with the do not call registry. I continue to get these phone calls. I do not answer the phone any more. If it is important they will leave a message and if they do, I evaluate if I need to all them back. The people I know show up on caller ID. I suggest you do the same.

- KittyAnother number that calls saying they're from Microsoft Windows. They will ask you to go to your computer and walk you through a process that locks your computer up so they can blackmail you for money. I've had it happen to friends. If you have the time, keep them on the phone and drive them crazy so they don't have the time to call others.
- Caller: Windows (NOT)
- Call type: Prank

- Diann SNov. 09, 2015...2 calls from (847) 234-9229 at 12.55 p.m. then 4:19 p.m. I can hear voices in the background but then they hang up. I have received calls other times from this number claiming to be Microsoft and I have something wrong with my computer, I told the called nothing is or ever was wrong, if they do not take me off the calling list they would be reported to the government guess they don't care because I'm still getting calls. They need to be stopped.
- MikeReceived two calls from this number today. Caller ID says "Wm K Platt". I did not answer, and they did not leave a message.
- jeffIndian accent said my windows account was sending out info....I use a Mac!
- RBinGFDefinitely a scam. When you go along with their "Microsoft" request, the first thing they want you to do is Run a script that would load a virus on your machine so they can take it over or lock it for ransom. Be careful!
- Caller: "Microsoft"
- Call type: Prank
