    Two things you can do:

    1) Report the call to the FCC here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do  Unauthorized prerecorded telemarketing calls to residential land lines is forbidden by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). And if the prerecorded call was made to a cellphone, that too is forbidden by the TCPA.

    2) Sue 'em. Whether you received only one illegal call or multiple calls, the TCPA gives you the right to sue for damages to the tune of $500 per call. You can file suit yourself (usually in small claims court) or retain a consumer law attorney who will take care of it on your behalf. Many times, by the way, the telemarketer settles out of court.

This company has used various telephone numbers they are:

    239-658-0747    [DISCONNECTED]     FL-IMMOKALEE
    850-271-8240    >[BOGUS NUMBER]     FL-LYNN HAVEN
    850-475-5122    >CLEYS JULIE     FL-PENSACOLA
    904-779-8982    >COOKS BERNARD   FL-JACKSONVILLE
    954-752-3816    MEULENS CHANTAL     FL-CORAL SPRINGS

    and maybe:

    321-207-0023                 FL-WINTER PARK
    954-623-4620    >COMMUNICAT CORP FL-POMPANO BEACH
    954-920-5550    ??             FL-HOLLYWOOD

I wished that these numbers would stop calling my with their fake bullsh*t.  I blocked one number but then they call with a different number.  It is interesting that all the numbers are from the state of Florida.  I think I migh call the FCC.  What they most likely are doing is using seudo telephone number that has been disconnected and their actual location could be the planet Uranus.  I think I should call Comcast and see if I can get a trap put on the line.  This way they can not truly hang up and let there be a true trace of where the call is coming from.

they called me on 1-22-08 and left no message. I have relatives in Pensacola Fla. I was at work - but if I had been home I probably would have answered the call, thinking it was from family.

Recieved this call a few weeks ago but my caller ID was blank. First telemarketing call I've recieved in years since I signed up for the DNCL.  The first time I pressed one, told them I didnt have any credit cards and was promptly hung up on.  The 2nd time they called me was about half an hour ago and showed up on my caller ID.  This time I asked the person who answered to speak to his supervisor.  He set the phone down for about 45 seconds, I heard some conversation in the background, and then was hung up on.  I would be very interested in knowing where I should serve papers because as a broke college student, I could sure go for the money I am now entitled to under the TCPA.

A call came through with the 850-475-5122 number at approximately 2:45 p.m. CST. No one was home at the time.  No message was left.  Caller ID showed the number.  Upon trying to call the number back I got the same message that this number is no longer in service.  Upon Googling the number, I found that the number has been reported several times as a scam.  I am registered on the DNCL as well.

I get calls from this so-called "Account Services" at least once a month.  Usually my Caller ID just says "Unknown" but this time the phone number appeared along with Pensacola, FL.  It's the usual "press 1 to speak with a person or press 2 to have this number removed."  I've pressed 2 several times, but the calls persist.  I've also talked to a person several times, asking to have the number removed, but again the calls persist.  This time, I talked quite awhile with "Leslie" who must be rather new.  I tried to get an address for the company but she followed her script which tells her not to give out any further information unless you agree to use their credit services.  She finally hung up on me.  The biggest frustration is that the calls come during the late morning when most people would be at work.  Unfortunately, I work the "Graveyard Shift" and the calls always wake me up.  It's very frustrating and annoying.  I just wish they would stop.

Same thing as everyone else here. We just ignore but if I do speak with someone, I'll chat and keep them online for as long as I can. Maybe I'll keep them from calling someone else that way.

Their time is valuable so burn it up! Say "Can you hang on?" then put phone down and walk away. Let em stay online for a few minutes.

Amen to that ....I always ask the ones that call at dinner time to "hang on a minute"....amazing how many of them will sit there and listen to me eat my dinner and still be on the line when I finish! Don't get mad get even! If you can "google" the number find the presidents # call him repeatedly and play "their" pre-recorded message back for him untill his machine is full.

I am on the DNCL too.  I'll try #1.   Unfortunately, in order to do #2 you have to know WHO they are.  I played along without answering any of their questions so I could find out who they were.  I asked who they were or who they represent they answered ""Visa and Mastercard".  I asked what bank and they said "all banks".  Since I started asking the questions instead of answering theirs they finally caught on and hung up.

Since the phone number is bogus suing them is like suing a ghost.  You have to have an entity to sue.  Got any ideas?
