Not SS Admin.   BEWARE.   Better to call official SS ADMIN.    If the wait is too long they will call you back.   If they say they will return the call in an hour it’s pretty much on the money.   They can answer all your questions.  Don’t give your info to scammers.

Don’t chance it.    Get real SS Admin phone number off the SSA.GOV website.   They can help you with any questions.   Don’t fall for the Scammers.

It said it was SS Admin.   It was a fraudulent number.  It sounds very official.  I called the Social Security Admin and confirmed that it is scammers/ the scammers left this number in an email.

Just had this text message, not touching it.  soc sec admin, would never contact someone this way.        Message From SSA:

This number is scam number I called social security at 18007721213 and notify that I received a phone call and a message from this number 855 2494342 x 2085624 and social security confirmed this is an scam number I reported to inspector general

Got an email asking to call this number (different 7 digit extension). We called the Social Security main number, who confirmed this was a valid number and a real SocSec employee. During the pandemic, SS employees are working from home and using emails to schedule phone questions pertaining to online applications. In the case, legitimate, but if any doubts call the national Social Security number for peace of mind.

Shill alert! If you really had called the Social Security Administration they would have told you they don't initiate contact by phone or email but by US mail.

This is a real number for Social Security.  After applying online for social security to start, I got an email asking me to call a named rep at this number, also with a long extension number. (They did not call me.)  Just to be sure, I called the national SSA general number, 1-800 772-1213, and after long wait on hold talked to a real person.  She took my info and looked up the name of  the rep assigned to me in my file, which was indeed the named rep and number in the email.  Do this and it will give you peace of mind if you are worried.

This is a legitimate SSA office calling. They process internet applications for individuals in FL and UT.
If you are uncertain, ask for your reps name and then call the national number 18007721213 to verify that is the person assigned to your application.

The initiation is when the person applied online for benefits, then ssa makes return contact. dont over think it

Listen up all you good people out there this is a valid phone number, but there is another phone# that will get you to the same person that is calling you and it thru the SSI system and the number is 1-800-775-7802, but it will not be the same ext # it will a 5 digit number so ask for them by Name. The SSI Claim Representative got me another $385 a month for sure. Thanks god I call her back I will have lost $385 extra a month for rest of my Retirement.Please Try this I am sure this will help you.

Received a call today from Mrs Laterza  855-249-4342 ext 2085622.  Also received an email from her stating she works for SSA Administration from Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.   Examining my online SSA application.  Is this legitimate?

No, this is not legitimate.  You should have called the SSA at a known, published phone number.

This is a valid number for the SSA workload support branch. They process online applications for individuals in FL and UT primarily.

There using the 855 phone num they hit me at least 3 times with that number So they got all my information what do I do ???
