- Ann O'Nymous484-474-5771 called and left a friendly voicemail with only his name saying he had a matter to talk to that was VERY important to me. Called the # he left which was 855-299-2900 from a blocked # and the recording said SMS. Googled and found it's a debt collection agency in Philadelphia.

- Anonymthese people called my work about some bill that i've never heard of. guy wouldn't tell me anything then got agressive. felt like i was being interrogated by a cop. what a creep.
- RachealThis man has called me two days in a row. I informed him that we were protected under federal bankruptcy law. He proceeded to call me again and I informed him that if he continued to call I would lodge a complaint, he then began to yell and I just hung up on him. If he calls again I will be filing a complaint. I do not need to give him any information other then that I filed a bankruptcy and received a discharge. I did not appreciate him trying to get aggressive and start yelling at me.

- confusedI got a voice mail from this individual at 8:11 pm on a week night. when I turned my phone on around 9pm there was the voice mail. He identified himself as Daniel Stein from SMS. He spoke very rudely as if I was guilty of murder and an incompetent child. stating that he is going to ASSUME that I am not just ignoring this "case" that is on his desk and that he's already heard one side of the story and would like to hear my side of the story and is willing to work with me as long as I call him back as soon as possible. Said that after "scraping the surface" of my file it looks as if I've tried to come to a resolution myself in this case. However, he never identifies what the case is or the company that opened this case. It was already late, so I set the message aside to deal with later. Shortly thereafter my GRANDMOTHER called me to tell me that "some nice gentleman named such and such from such and such just called looking for me". Like, seriously?? I have NEVER used my grandparents as a point of contact and I have a married last name, so not clue how they even contacted her. I plan to call this company back when I have the time to to get to the bottom of this, but if they treat me how many people have stated that they do ... I will have no problems filing complaints against them as well! I am TIRED of strong arming collections agencies.

- Michelle| 6 repliesI received a call from my sister in law saying that there was a message on their home machine for me from "Melvina" at a Mediation company and that my court date had been set for Friday. Her phone number was 855-299-2900 ext 2003. And my Docket# was 13796**, and if i did not show up for court that I would be in contempt of the law. How they even got my sisters phone number I have no idea, we all have different last names and I have never used her or my brother as a point of contact or a reference.
- MJG replies to Michelle| 1 replyDid you receive anything in WRITING that was MAILED via the post office? If not, consider this to be a scam. First - you received no summons so there can not be a court date (especially set in a few days). If your sister-in-law was called, that is a violation of the fair debt/credit reporting act! If in doubt, contact your local court house - CIVIL division. They can verify this to be a scam. The 855 area code seems to be loaded with scammers!!
- Michelle replies to MJGThank you very much.
- CWG40They call themselves Source Mediation Services. (Assuming they are not spoofing) Sounds like a typical kitchen-table debt scamming operation. Most likely working out of someone's house.

- kbenoit replies to Michelle| 1 replyI just got a call for the same exact name and number looking for my husband but with my cell phone number that he would never give out as his contact number because we each have our one cell numbers. How the hell she got it without finding his I will never know but she insisted I give her his number so she could call him to which I said no he's working and won't answer anyway and said I would give him the message. She then gave me her number and his "claim number" and told me it was very important he call back right away because the claim was already pending and they want his "side of the story to be fair to both parties" but then wouldn't tell me what that ment or who the party was. Does anyone know if any of these "claims" are even remotely legitimat? I know we have some credit card dept but no bills are past due so I have no idea what they could possibly be investigating.
- Diana| 3 repliesI just received a call from 484-474-5771 and the guy (Brian Lawson) left a voice mail saying that my lawyer or I could call him back at the toll free number. He also gave a reference number. I may have a medical bill or two for one of my children that is outstanding and if not for reading these posts, I would think it may be about that. I may call back just to see if I can get any more details but based on the reports here, it looks like it might be a scam.
UGH .. I hate these kinds of calls! - Elspeth replies to DianaRead what CWG40 wrote above - this is a scam.
- shannon rhodes| 1 replyGot a message on my cell phone says they needed to discuss a complaint filed. I have no idea what they are talking about.

- CWG40 replies to shannon rhodesDebt scammer. The like to use the word "complaint" as if they are some quasi-governmental agency to imply that you've somehow done something wrong. Debt collectors do not deal iwth complaints. They deal in debt collection. Debt collectors have no influence on any governmental entity.
If they say you owe a debt, simply demand a debt validation letter be sent to you by US mail. E-mail no good. Of course they won't do this, so simply block their calls and ignore them. - William MartinThese people wanted to negotiate a past bill. All sorts of deadlines and pressure. Fake collection firm.. Scammers!!!!

- Laura L, CO replies to MichelleApparently she is still using the same techniques, as she has left 2 msgs saying that she wanted my side of the story about a case filed against me in my home town. She stated that my "case" is supposed to go to court soon. I did call and of course she wasn't there, and all they would tell me I had to call back at 855-229-2900 x2003. Sounds like a collection agency using scare tactics and needs to be reported!
- JMB49Have received a few calls from this "Melvina" woman and she is very aggressive. She didn't like it one bit when I told her I had taken care of this matter with the company I owe, she got real ignorant. She had a totally different account # and total. I spoke to her and my local company within minutes of each other. I really believe this is a scam. I can't even remember her telling me the name of the company, and would not give me a mailing address to send money order, said I could only use credit or debit card.

- CharlaHave received 11 phone calls from these idiots. They have called my son and daughter in law 6 times. Have no clue how they got their phone numbers as I have never used their contact info on anything. They leave messages with the same info as above about a claim filed TO my home town, and they want to hear my side of the story. Professional people do not speak this way. Messages left from Minerva Minagle and Brian Lawson for me to call the 855-299-2900, ext. 2003 or 2004. Since we are not in collections and are not late on any debt, this is a bogus scam company that has been harassing us from August 2015 thru October 2015. I am reporting them and filing a complaint.
