The owner of the company is Joe Papagno he used to work for AMERIGAS as a credit and collections manager from 2006 to 2010. you can look him up on Linkedln.

The competition to amerigas is suburban propane , he opened up this collection company in 2010 and suburban is one of his clients. He will claim hes in the corporate office but hes not.   There are a couple people working there one named Brian Lawson and Melvina. Melvina claims she is supervisor. I think Brian Lawson probably is Joe. Sounds the same to me but Joe likes to yell and hangs up on you after his tirade. They break a lot of the Fair Debt practices and should be reported to the company they are collecting for .

Just got the second vm from them in a week. Everything said so far applies to me as well. Brian Lawson (so-called) sounding all official. Wonder if I should call him back and tell him I will be over that way later this week and will stop by to discuss it in person...hehe. (I worked in collections before...that's a collectors nightmare...)

They (minerva and brian)have called my husband and myself everyday 4 or 5 times a day for a week leaving message of law suits being filed and we can stop it if we pay up....but wont say who we owe..give an address or anything....scammers...next call they will get my whistle in there ear!

I just received the same call as all of you. I called this Melvina back and she wanted my credit card number to pay Suburban Propane that we owe. I told her that I don't know her from Adam, and I was not giving her my number and I will deal with the company myself. She then tried telling me that she is from Suburban Propane, (Corporate Office), I had to remind her that she works for SMS. What a Joke!!

Scam, Scam, Scam they called my business to collect a debt that I do not even have. The guy SCREAMED at me calling me a liar and wanted me to pay him my balance over the phone with a credit card. When I said "No" he got even worse saying that he was sending an attorney and the sheriff department after me...I just laughed and said "Go right ahead" then he hung up on me. I have blocked both their numbers that they have tried to call me on. He never disclosed his name or the company name, but when I googled the number it came up Source Mediation Services in NJ. If he was a "Real" debt collector I would have received a letter and a case number stating that they are now in charge of my past due account which I do not have either one. Stay away from this company and do not call them back if they leave a message and if you answer their call hang up instantly.

So glad to have this Asa resource! Also got a call from Malvina saying she wanted to be "fair & hear my side of the story" for a "complaint" on Aug 12 in my hometown. Left same #855-299-2900x2003. Def not calling back!!

Called regarding a debt so called back. The rudest most condescending person I've ever spoke with. Said his name was Joe and it was his company. Told me that I could sett for $755 bUT that he wouldn't allow me to set up a payment arrangement because he doesn't believe I'll pay. It was for an old propane Bill from when companies were gauging big time. He basically told me I was a piece of [***] for not taking care of this debt and laughed everyome I tried to talk and tell him the situation. Complete [***]. Take my ass to court cause it's the only way your getting money from me. Definitely tried every scare tactics in the book. And said there were correspondencesome sent when I never got anything.

The name of the company is source mediation services.
Talked to a guy named Joe about a bill I had in collections when I would not aggressively to the payment that he wanted he became very belligerent. He was swearing calling me names and calling me a jerk and on top of all of that he deciding he was going to threaten me while my wife was in surgery and I had asked the gentleman if I could call him back due to me being at the hospital and he became even more hostile toward me. So I will report him to the state attorney general office as well.

I have received several calls from Source Mediation wanting me to call 855-299-2900 ext2008 for Brian Lawson.  This guy said I could have my lawyer call back to discuss this matter.  One time my boyfriend answered the phone and this guy was very nasty to him and wanting information, of course my boyfriend did not give out any info.

Returned call after important message was left to call back.  Spoke with Brian Lawson.  Very aggressive,  nasty, provoking, yelling i could not get word in edgewise.  Called back for supervisor who said he was owner. He then spoke to john telling him he needed an educated person to talk to.  Can someone tell me how i can report them.

I JUST got this guy that called me today as well. Same exact details in the same order. He called my In laws number which I dont have listed as a point of contact. I'm writing this off as a scam.

I see that you read far enough down the first page to reply to a post that is 4 years old that will never be seen.  Did you not read the post by CWG40 and the resulting posts that gave you information that you really need?  If so, why?

Just found out that SMS...who I can tell you is run by a husband and wife team whom my husband and I know and USED to be friends with. They run it out of their  rented home In Mt Laurel  and abuse their authority of information. They look up information on people they know as well as our personal records and have taken to sharing with neighbors and people we know trying to shane us and discredit our name. We have tons of proof as well and hoping to subpoena their records for further criminal proof.  We  contacted 3 attorneys and have started legal proceedings with the Burlington County Prosecutors Office. It's a major criminal offense.  If you have a complaint call them and speak to the Prosecutor. these  idiots need to be stopped...period.

Keep calling for Heather Swank????  Never heard of her.  Have reported to N.Y. Attorney General.  Sick of them.  Get a real job people.

Junk Debt Buyer for Suberban Propane.  If Brain calls you verify the address and ask him to verify the debt. Because in my case the debt was already invalid and he called me even though I had an Attorney. This Debt Buyer would be easy to report to the FCC and/or sue for violating the Fair Collection Act.
