- iiiuoii replies to CathyFunny I just received the same phone call they seem unlegit up to no good and rude try to google and nothing came up besides your post I am NOT returning thier phone call and the terminology is uncommon they said I had allegations against me and referred to a case number
- Rob PGot a call saying that I had taken out a loan for $390.00 back in 2009(I never did) when I lived in another state, and their client wanted $2000.00+ or the original loan amount, and I had to decide what to do right then...The only info they had was stuff anyone could have gotten off a Google search, and they kept threatening me with process servers... Sure sounded like a rip-off to me, and when I kept pressing for details, they finally hung up...

- T.C| 1 replyCalled me asking for someone else. Stated there name was Michael Glass almost like a fake vmail and hung up. I called back immediately because I owe no one anything. I was transferred by some ghetto girl to someone who refused to give me their name, company or how they got my number. They hung up on me before I hung up on them. Like I'm seriously going to verify my social security number with Casper the friendly ghost.
- Caller: na
- MJG replies to T.CRefusing to give you their company information - VIOLATION of the FDCPA!!
Hanging up on you - says so much about the legitimacies of the caller. - SLBThis number called on my cellphone, home phone number and my place of employment. The message left on my home number sounded like a robocall as did the one that called my place of employment. They never left a message on my cellphone. They state that there are documents to be served to me. I have filed reports with both the FTC and my AG's office.
- JTI just got a voicemail from them also stating they have important documents to send. Felt fishy to me. If they want to send something... Go ahead and send it. What would they need me for?
- Caller: 8553387635 Michael Glass
- TmGot a call from this number. Michael Glass saying I owe money from a payday loan and need to pay$1000 now or it will be turned over to a judge.. Ha ha ha. Have at it bud.
- Stacy Taylor| 1 replyI received a similar call today from someone from UBS Process saying that I took out a Cash Advance for the amount of 390.00 and that I have until 4:30pm est today to make good on the loan. The funny thing is they used a previous married name and information from a different email address that I no longer use. To top it all off they said that I did this in either 2010 or 2011. When I asked the date of the check they couldn't give me that information. I called my current bank and they have no record of anything like this. I'm just so floored and done. I don't understand people and how they can do this.

- CWG40 replies to Stacy TaylorMost likely a debt collection scam. This UBS processing has a history on 800notes.
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a clear violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand. - TammyI got a phone call from 832-802-8051 saying her name is Amanda Dixon from UBS processing stating I owe $390.

Was my signature, they said original creditor was oakwood services LLC, they wanted 410.00 or are filing a case with the county I live in, I'm very upset, the phone numbers they used are 8552012193. Call from a variety of numbers. Sometimes associated with a "Jennifer Brooks" persona. This Brooks persona is also associated with several different CIDs all connected to the Global Scam, located in the Caribbean. Ignore and block any calls with the UBS/Jennifer Brooks connection.

- Skeptical replies to CWG40I just got a "Final attempt to contact you" call and they asked me to call this 855-201-2193 number. I've never heard from them before, so I'm skeptical from the beginning. They claim I need to go to court for fraud that Bank of America filed against me for a Payday Loan that I supposedly deposited into my account. I've never done any sort of payday loan in my life and I don't have an account with BOA. They wanted me to give them my address to send me the paperwork for this fraud investigation and they were very pushy about it, so I told them that they need to make sure they have the right person before I give any of my info. They rattled off the last four digits of not-my-SSN. I said that wasn't me. The lady said she would transfer me to someone else... I waited on hold for about 5 minutes until the call dropped.

- dlady| 1 replyI just received a call from them threatening criminal action for a payday loan from 2011 for 390.00. They gave me the last 4 of my ss# and some old address that my ex husband used to live at before I even met him. They said in order to stop legal action I had to pay within 24 hours and I had to give them a CC# and I could not call back and do it. The guy I spoke to sounded more like he was doing a sales pitch than anything else and he was pushy and rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me he didnt have one and he finally put a lady name "Crystal" on the line who was the "legal aid manager" and she tried to make it seem like she was doing me a favor and had to set up pay arrangements right now or they had to do legal action. She gave me her # is 855-203-6335 Ext 515. I could not find any info on them no website or anything. I gave them a fake CC# until I could investigate further to see if this was legit. This is totally fake. They said the payday loan company surpassed collections proceeding and went straight to criminal litigation. The more questions I asked the agitated the gentleman became.
They get people rattled up and afraid by saying that you are going to be arrested and charged and sued. They play off your emotions to get you to give them a credit card.

- BigA replies to dladyThis is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Be careful, now they are calling from a local 310 area code from Beverly Hills.
