Yes & No. Is the number real? Maybe. Is the caller real? Maybe not. Due to caller ID spoofing (faking) on an incoming call, your caller may not be who they say they are. As always, never give out personal or financial information on a call you did not make. Look the number up. Verify it. Go from there.

They called with no message, I checked here and found it was State Farm so I called them back. I have not used State Farm in 3 years and I haven't been involved in any accidents that would have been covered by them. Once a rep answered they started asking for a lot of information then said I hit a deer in PA driving an '08 Ford Fusion just this month. I live in Montana and have never owned/rented a ford in my life, nor have I ever hit a deer. I've never even been to PA. I don't know how this mix up happened but it looks like it's happened a lot recently.

Doubt it was a mix-up actually. It was most likely a scammer pretending to be State Farm and trying to extort money from you

I had bogus calls that are alleged to be from State Farm, but are really just spoofed numbers and even spoofed "State Farm" on the caller ID.  One of the worst is an Auto Club.  State Farm has an Auto Club, but there are scammers promoting one that is a total con job.  Be Careful Out There!

State Farm accident claims center. I had filed a claim online through the app, this is their claims center calling to follow back up.

Have not gotten calls FROM this #,hovever, this was a # given to me to inquire about a claim to State Farm Insur. I called and immediately was able to scroll through 25--30 inter-office emails. I know this is a delayed response...... but I  just read your post, and I am laughing so damn hard.......

Called once and left no message. Intuition told me that I should call them back, so I did. Sure enough, it was State Farm (ostensibly) calling me back for a claim I have open on one of their customers. Felt a little slimy that they didn't even leave a message, but everything went fine once I started talking to an adjuster.

Just like  to know  who owns that #

Got a call from this number and asked several times who and why the call then asked to hold on I couldn't hear him told my husband to listen in and my hubby then went off on him telling to cease and desist as this was a police officer and will be investigating this call to peruse fraud charges. He hung up very quickly!  We have not been in an accident nor have we used State Farm insurance!

Received a call from Statefarm Claims department  for a family member that had recently been in a accident.

Phone number listed on a letter, looked up all the info. Total scam. Do not call them and give them any personal information. The number is not legitimate. Call State Farm directly to inform them of this supposed "claim."

Just because they say they are from State Farm does not mean it is legitimate. Ask them for their full name and verify with the REAL State Farm.

Legitimate call from State Farm regarding an insurance claim. They needed additional info from me regarding an accident I was in a few weeks prior.

Got a call regarding repair work on vehicle body damage.

This number was provided to my daughter as a number to call in order to follow up on a car accident claim.  I checked with our local State Farm agent and she said it is a legitimate State Farm claims phone number, so it seems to be OK.

Received call from State Farm this morning (9 am). Voice mail was left and listened to it. Message was for person who wasn't me at all. Called number back with claim number left on voicemail. It was actually State Farm that called and they were more than apologetic for me being called by mistake. They were very helpful and thankfully ended well.

Got a call about a claim I  don't even have state farm as insurance.Hung up.Then  I got same lady calling on my other cell but a different number.She asked what kind of car I told her it was a 2016 Lexus 250se I mixed up 2 cars purposely. She bought into it.I knew it was a scam.
